#tape binding

I finally bought myself binding tape and am low-key freaking about it in good and bad ways

First time making a decision for my own transition on my own and without asking permission,,,

- my car broke down on Friday while I was driving to school and I continued to drive it while it was smoking bc I didn’t want to be late (whoops)

- I got an email saying that my short story is being considered for a prize and I’ll find out on may 23rd !! (It’s based a bit on porch light by Noah kahan)

- I mayhaps have a partner… :D

- one of my friends is coming to my school next year which is really exciting bc my school is kinda lonely (like yea I have friends I made but it’s not the same)

- less than a month left in school !!

i’ve been tape binding for seven years

all of these pics are from 2024 - 2026 to show the differences in application while both my body weight and chest size fluctuate

taping is not one size fits all, there’s a learning curve to the process, but this is the only way i’ve bound my chest since 2022

even with the skill i’ve developed i still itch, blister and rash on occasion. it’s worth it to me but may not be worth it to you, the same way i can never wear a binder again but other mascs can

i change the way i apply my tape based on the season or even situationally, using less in the summer or unnatural colors during the winter

i’m considering making some videos or diagrams eventually to show my process as there’s a lot of curiosity, but i feel like visually seeing different applications is enough in the meantime
