Clean-up in Aisle... || Tempy & Tanner
Despite having been around for a couple weeks, Tanner still mostly kept to himself. He knew he should probably find out who the Alpha was and introduce himself, but he hadn’t had the time. He also got the sense that this wasn’t like any other pack he’d been around, and was considerably larger, too. Frankly, it intimidated him.
Dressed in his usual attire of jeans, boots, and a plaid shirt, Tanner parked the pickup truck and made his way into the store to pick up a few things he needed for the ranch and his new home. He was leaving an aisle as someone else was rounding the corner, causing their carts to collide. “I’m sorry, I should’ve been watching where I was going.”
The one bottle of white wine Tempy had placed at the front of her cart skidded to the back of her cart but was stopped by the single pack of chicken and the salad fixings she’d grabbed for her dinner that night. She looked up when the cart crashed, having been paying more attention to her phone than anything, and was startled to find a face she didn’t know. Tempy made it a point to know all the wolves of the town.
“Oh,” she said slipping the phone into her purse, “I think at least some of the blame could be mine. I should know better than to text and drive at the same time.” She gave him a kind smile and considered the man in front of her and then the contents of his cart. They were certainly more plentiful than her own very single meal. “You new in town? I don’t recognize you.” She would remember this face for sure.
