He'd been doing okay until he saw her. All dressed up and encircled by groups of fascinated men, Tanner's heart sinks on the spot. No, this isn't going to work.
He hates these events. He's already loosened the tie he'd been forced to wear, already unbuttoned the jacket, already had a drink and a half. But he still feels nothing at all. He isn't sure if Gianna in particular is good at these kinds of things, or if everyone is just better at this than he is. So far he's nodded hello to a few people and flashed the nicest smile he can manage before retreating to the corner of the room and attempting to discreetly wave at Gianna. It doesn't seem to work.
"GIANNA." Fuck. Tanner resists the urge to mess up his hair, pulling out his phone and mashing the buttons instead. He sends one text, and another, but when he looks up she's standing there.
"Jesus Christ--- a little warning next time, maybe?" He blinks at her. "Look, I know you're little miss popular right now but I have to get out of here."
{♡} — If there was one thing that Gianna loved then it was weddings. Aside from two people expressing their love for one another, the female just enjoyed the free food and drinks. It wasn’t exactly that she was a social butterfly, but somehow with a controlled amount of alcohol, Gigi was a bit more loose-lipped and talkative. That and the feline knew quite a few of the people who were attending which had caused her to have smalltalk with people left and right even before she had even reached the bar.
She had been in the middle of a conversation when she noticed Tanner’s gesture, to which she had smiled but perhaps he hadn’t noticed. Gigi told the person she was talking to a brief goodbye before she pushed her way past some people to reach his side.
A giggle slipped past her lips when he notices her standing beside him, however her light expression disappeared as soon as he spoke up.
“But why?” Her lips formed into an instant pout. Oh, she wasn’t going to let him leave without a fight. “You just got here like ten minutes ago. Where’s your wedding spirit? You can’t go, we haven’t had food yet. There’s going to be more drinks and some dancing and did I mention there’s going to be food.” Needless to say, Gianna enjoyed the fancy food that would be served. “You can’t just leave. Please? I’ll owe you one~”
