But Tam found he needn't pay attention to the rolling hills of color changing leaves, the scent of spice and nuts in the air, or the politicking of males in their shimmering red and green robes, when he could steal the taste of autumn straight from the mouth of the most beautiful prince in the world.

actually i feel like during the cringe nesta pointing at tamlin scene in acosf eris should have been more 🤨
bc we know very few things about eris' relationship with tamlin, but they're all positive:
1) he thought tamlin an appropriate and trustworthy high lord to take care of lucien and shelter him as a traitor to autumn from beron's wrath to the point that eris seems perfectly fine with tamlin killing one of his other brothers for saving lucien purposes
2) he found tamlin dragging beron to war by sheer force "delightful" (which i read as "hot" and this is foundational tamris text I fear)
3) he doesn't agree with beron's plans to take over spring, whether that's bc he believes in tamlin's divine right to rule or his general being better than beron when it comes to invading human lands or just a vague desire for stable borders in prythian. In any case he is somewhat worried for tamlin's wellbeing as he discusses with rhysand in acosf
so like these two are at least cordial and should probably be closer allies than eris is with rhysand and I refuse to believe that he'd be ok with threatening tamlin on his own land that they're currently trespassing on, if he has a single scheming bone in his body
Anyway in a better book tamris would get together as political allies (and romantically as well why not) and double cross the nc bc it genuinely makes so much sense for them to do that after what rhysand and ic have put both of them through
