Went to Georgia this weekend, and the main attraction for Saturday’s agenda specifically was to visit the @oldladygang in Atlanta - Castleberry. As we waited for the designated seating time for walk-ins (4pm), an adorable young lady offered us a free sample of Strawberry Lemonade Italian Ice from a spot a few doors down. IT WAS DELICIOUS! 🤤 My crew & I discovered at 4pm that we weren’t going to be seated anytime soon again, so we left OLG and I went to find that Italian Ice!! Ladies & Gentlemen, I introduce @mccoughtrys - a cute little ice cream shop in Castleberry. Inside, Angel McCoughtry was posted on a wall. I had no idea who she was, I just saw that she’s 6’1”! Sooo for those that don’t know who #AngelMcCoughtry is (like me🤦🏾‍♀️), she is 2x Olympic Gold Medalist, WNBA Rookie-of-the-Year AND 4x All-Star, & Atlanta Dream 1st Round Draft Pick.....AND she’s 6’1” & a fellow #TallDopeGirl! I’m assuming the ice cream shop is a family-owned situation because it’s name after her and all the staff that I saw favored her. So yeah...🗣GOT SWEET-TEETH? GO TO MCCOUGHTRY’S! Italian Ice, various flavors of ice creams, waffle cones, brownies...SUGAR, lots of SUGAR!! Reasonably priced, good serving sizes, and they have very nice staff, as well. Angel wasn’t there so I got a picture with her fathead poster eating STRAWBERRY LEMONADE ITALIAN ICE! It was a pleasure discovering this sweet gem, and I wish you much more success, @mccoughtry!
