 the  best  starter  in  the  whole  world    //     summerland  doesn’t  look  very  different  from  how  it  had  been  (  apparently  )  a  year  ago  ,      when  he’d  been  taken  by  the  orb  ,      which  is  a  surprise  .      everything’s  a  surprise  to  someone  who  wakes  up  a  year  later  thinking  he’s  only  missed  a  day  .      he’s  left  division  three  to  come  back  here  .      at  least  for  a  little  while                         they  still  need  him  there  .      he  just  …  doesn’t  trust  them  .      that  ,      and  not  everyone  is  there  .      melanie’s  here  ,      and  he  wants  to  see  her  .      she’s  the  reason  he’d  come  .

hi  katie  ,      i  know  you knew  i  would  eventually  have  something  for  you  on  your birthday  .      i  know  i  said  i  was  gonna  write  something  and  then  …  guess  what  i  have ?      no  writing  .      but  i  wanted  to  make  something  for  you  regardless  ,     because  you  are  one  of  the  best  friends  i  have  on  this  site  .      i  cannot  believe  we  met  more  than  two  years  ago  ,     back  on  our  dumb  ol  batb  blogs  when  we  were  both  playing the  same  muse  and  where  our  love  of  dan  stevens  first spawned  .      who  knew  it  would  turn  into  something  like  this  .     i  am  soso  honoured  to  call  you  my  friend  and  i’m  so  glad  for  all  the  things  we’ve  gone  through  .    from  you  messaging  me  funny  vids  to  sharing  our  angst  and life  goings-on  with  each  other  ,      there’s  not  a  day  that goes  by  where  i’m  not  so  happy  to  see  your  messages  to  me .      i  appreciate  you  so  much  .

i’m  so  happy  we  got  to  finally  meet  back  in  may  .      that  was  definitely  the  funnest  day  i’ve  had  all  year  ,      for  sure ,      even  tho  i  have  a  boring  life  .      it  means  something  okay !!!       thanks  for not  judging  me  when  i  drove  on  the  grass  trying  to  not  back  into  your  car  asdljfahsg  even  though  i  know  i’m  never  gonna live  that  down  by  you  .     you  made  detective  pikachu  and  walking  for  pokemon  so  much  more  enjoyable  .      xox

it is tragic, the idea a man once so obsessed with the language might lose his words. he tries to focus, fractured as he is, there is little to show for the effort of it, as he tries to piece himself back together. ( he will get there, eventually, mostly. oliver is sure, though how much of him is truly lost . . . only time will tell. )
