This might sound kind of silly AND you are allowed to judge me all you want, yet I want to apologize to everyone I came across in the Lisa fandom for being too rick-absorbed in the last 2-3 years.
Not because I think I was "corny" or whatever you guys would call that, but because I was dismissive (unintentionally, but never justified) of other people's traits that were not Rick-centric and attempted to create bonds from it without taking into account how others felt about my actions. It was pretty dehumanizing coming from me, and I'm still fighting these thoughts as we speak.
It was Rick for breakfast. Rick for lunch. Rick for snack time. Rick for dinner. And so on, every day.
I forced myself to stay with people whose personalities were not compatible with mine. I hurt those people by lying to them and myself. I was willing to sacrifice others' comfort and my own so there would be "more of us". I am no different from those bible-thumping kids, with the only difference being the gospel I was sharing was all things Rick.
I still love Rick dearly; he is by far one of my favorite characters in fiction, and I am more than willing to keep posting about him.
I'm so thrilled to meet any potential acquaintances along the way, but this time I'll be more casual about it and will try not to force anything if I find out some random person happens to like the same character as me.
I'm not letting my hyperfixation become unhealthy and hurtful to others, and I choose to take accountability since I recently became aware of it.
Okay, take care and Rick all the Week safely.
