I've said it before but the talking Mickey meet and greet on Main Street at WDW was absolutely the peak of interactivity and nothing will ever be better than it and taking it away was a sin

As we reported back in January, there have been rumors of the Talking Mickey Mouse Meet and Greet getting the hook at Disney World. Well those rumors proved true last week and the Talking Mickey Mouse Meet and Greet at Town Square Theater in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World has now gotten the silent treatment permanently.

I'm not a fan of meeting characters either, but we took my niece down last year and we had to see talking Mickey. She's severely disabled, blindness being just one issue, but hearing Mickey Mouse Club House always had her smiling, and when we saw Mickey in the park and he began talking to her, she burst out laughing. Losing that will truly break my heart because I know that if we take her to see regular Mickey, she won't have a clue what's going on.

And yeah, from what little I’ve seen, the performers who play Talking Mickey are superb at breaking the ice. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were the highlight of a million other guests’ vacations.

RUMOR: Talking Mickey Maybe Leaving Magic Kingdom Soon
The Talking Mickey Mouse Meet and Greet at Town Square Theater in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World may be getting the silent treatment if rumours are true. New Talking Donald and Minnie Characters Spotted at Disney California Adventure
New talking Minnie Mouse and Donald Duck characters were being tested at Disney California Adventure Park. They will be joining the current talking Mickey Mouse character.
The new meet and greet is currently being tested so there isn’t a set schedule for this yet. Right now the trio were meeting at the Ahwahnee Camp Circle.
