@taleswritten || closed starter || for Robby, because it was inevitable
“Hey …”
It feels like a ridiculous opening. The kind of thing you shouldn’t say to someone while you were sliding into their lap. But she was feeling emboldened. High on the adrenaline of being able to move her hands again, and a drink.
She shouldn’t have been out, but she dreaded the idea of going home. It was freezing out. Her apartment would be drenched in blue and just as cold, and she felt like she deserved some life. Quiet but lively enough, life. It was just a bonus that he was there, nursing a beer in the back corner.
A bonus that he looked warm, and cozy, and since he’d just stitched her back together a few weeks ago; safe. So there she was, setting her half empty glass on his table as she slid into his lap, nestling there until she could reach for his hand to settle her palm within it.
“You weren’t there to take my stitches out. I missed you.” And she had. More than she should probably address. She’d gotten a thrill out of the thought of seeing him, that tickled her in the same way seeing him now did. It was exciting. She loved settling her hips back into his, confident enough in the shelter of the booth to get close.

[🎲] Husk couldn't be more pleased with himself. His casino was doing well and more and more souls were flocking to it every day. He was enjoying the attention and the power it gave him. It meant his influence was spreading and other Overlord's were starting to take him more seriously.
Not because he was a threat, but because business with him could be beneficial to them. He was powerful, but stay on his good side, and you could reap the rewards he had to offer too.
That was why Valentino had reached out to him, one of the Vee's. Apparently they were interested in what he had. Why a Media, Social, and Porn Overlord took interest in a casino, Husk could only imagine. One thing was for certain though, he wouldn't allow this place to be degraded by other Overlords.
He was walking the floor while heading to his meeting when he spotted a new face. One he hadn't seen around his casino yet. Tall, slender, beautiful. Husk couldn't take his eyes off of Angel the moment he spotted him, even as his assistant tried to get his attention about the meeting he was going to.
Instead, Husk moved towards this beautiful new figure with a pleasant smile and a tilt of his head. "Hello there," his voice is deep and growly, "I've never seen you in here before. Are ya new around here?"
He was never a big fan of Valentino's work so he stayed far away from it. He legitimately didn't know who Angel was. He was a pretty face, someone new, in his casino. That's all he knew.
Send 🍷 for my muse's reaction to yours appearing at their door, drunk.
The knock sounds like a slant... Meaning, there's two standard knocks, and then a pause as knuckles tap the door at a different spot on the wood... someplace lower, creating a different pitch entirely.
When Robert opens the door, there's Robby... looking bleary eyed and not entirely all there. Just one whiff catches him up to speed.
❝I hope this means you got a lift here and didn't drive or use the bike,❞ he mutters. Not the warmest of greetings, but he's honestly just a little wary and pissed. He could have called and Robert would have HAPPILY been his DD and taken him anywhere he wanted to go.
There's the possibility he could have walked here, too... which makes him equally concerned. He could have fallen or stumbled into the street. The fuck, man?
He guides Robby to the couch and lets him collapse on the cushions with a huff. He should get him some water an aspirin... And it just so happens he's got some ice-cream in the freezer, too. Who would say no to that?
Being sent to Hueco Mundo to deal with a rogue arrancar wasn't his idea of fun. Now, he knew he didn't have much of a choice, since he'd been told that he was needed to deal with the situation. So he began making his way through the desert. Hills of sand, pillars of crystal, but there were no trees to speak of.
"Kurosaki, go to Hueco Mundo, you're needed. My fucking ass I'm needed." Words were uttered beneath his breath as he used shunpo to move forward at a quicker pace. At least his imitation of Kisuke was almost spot on. Not that anyone heard him.
Continuing to push forward wasn't difficult for him, at least he'd been told where he needed to go. Or the general location, at the very least, which was nice enough he supposed. After he used shunpo a few more times he stopped, seeing someone in front of him. "Seriously?"
After letting loose a sigh and shaking his head he moved to where he was closer to the other guy. "I thought it was you, Grimmjow. Can't say I'm surprised that this would be kept from me." The bite in his tone was minuscule but enough to be recognized. Why Grimmjow of all people?
Oh well, he supposed having backup he knew was capable would be nice, especially since this was a rogue arrancar he was having to deal with. "Don't get in my way." While it'd been quite a while since seeing the arrancar knowing he was alive was good enough.
Otherwise the soul reaper would grow bored. After all, how could anyone else entertain him with random fights, he'd made a promise to Grimmjow when he was a teenager. Whenever the arrancar wanted to fight him he was willing to fight him. Pushing past Grimmjow was simple enough should the other guy decide to keep up or not, so long as he didn't get in his way he didn't care.
Knowing that the arrancar was there was enough for him. And so long as Grimmjow didn't get in his way then the rogue arrancar would be dealt with swiftly enough. Or so he hoped.
Whenever Grimmjow sonidoed in front of him he'd sigh and roll his eyes before moving to push past the arrancar again. "I already told you not to get in my way. Run off and do whatever you're supposed to be doing."
❛ i thought you’d like some company. ❜ leon to chris!
an assrt. of dialogue prompts: accepting!
Chris never gave a shit about company gatherings– mingling, talking to people that wore fancy suits to make it seem like they did something worth giving a shit. They rarely did, and he never fell for the act. The event he’d been forced invited to was under the discretion of the UN, a celebration of some sort for some anniversary that he didn’t pay much mind to.
He’d just had to show his face enough to play the act of the BSAA giving a shit.
About an hour into talking too far too many faces, the captain found himself outside, perched over one of the balconies with both arms braced against a polished marble; the overlook spread itself atop an expansive woodland, expressive enough to give the twinkle of the night sky its own refined polish. A rather beautiful night– a damn shame that the gathering was within the dull, monotonous tone of the walls behind him.
Smoke billowed itself from the cigarette hugged between his index and middle fingers, loosely tampering between the skin as though he’d been one second from flicking it into the distance. If he wasn’t so bent on using it as his only crutch to leave the building, he may have done so– he’d had his mood soured by the function itself.
The quiet break of the door behind him was almost too loud, too disturbing for the scenery set before him. Tall, french doors that clicked upon being shut, causing the captain to twist his features enough to see who’d been invading his silence.
“What gave you that impression? Didn’t know your neck of the woods was invited too.” Chris shifted his arm, bringing the cigarette up to catch between his lips; a low, slow drag of air collecting and sitting in his lungs before he’d let it retreat from the hold.

Being forced to leave the Seireitei and go to the filth of Hueco Mundo, even after having his palace built, was infuriating. He hated that he'd been forced to make the choice to retreat in order to ensure he got the hogyoku. Aizen detested anything that dared force his hand in any way.
If any of the Arrancar that he was forced to spend his time with these days had noticed that he had turned even more cruel since coming to Los Noches, none had been foolish enough to mention it. In fact, most of the disgusting beasts that were his new subordinates had seemed to show at least enough intelligence to behave for the time being.
Or instinct that recognized the power he possessed.
But of course, there was always one more foolish than the rest. One who thought snapping at the hand so graciously allowing them to live, would work in their favor.
One, who refused to learn their lesson.
Aizen couldn't understand why his Sexta refused to learn such a simple lesson. It wasn't like he never gave his Espada a chance to speak at these meetings, he was even so kind as to let them squabble amongst themselves to a degree.
However, he did, require respect from his Espada when his men were speaking.
"A moment, Kaname." Aizen lifted his teacup to his lips, he took a sip from it before speaking further. After all, Kaname respected him and Espada feared him so he had no need to rush.
"Grimmjow," His lips curled slightly, his tone sound far more forgiving than he would ever be. "If you can't stop being a distraction, you'll have to be punished. Again."
He took another sip of his tea. "Kaname."
As he listened to Kaname continue his report, Aizen grew more and more annoyed with his Sexta. Even immediately after such a kind warning, the blue furred beast refused to control himself. The former Shinigami took to the side of benevolence for a moment, trying to work with the beast.
"That is all, Lord Aizen." Kaname bowed as he spoke.
Aizen balanced his cup down on the arm of his chair. "Thank you, Kaname."
He was still smiling as he he finally deigned the Sexta worth his time again. Even if he wasn't likely to be happy now that he had his God's attention. Head turning just enough to look directly at the beast, his smile never wavered, but there was a new darkness in his gaze. The calm he'd possessed had been disrupted and his gaze turned vicioius.
"Grimmjow, I am feeling forgiving today, so I am going to ask your opinion. Should I punish you here in front of everyone, or would you rather take your punishment privately, so you can lick your wounds when we're finished?"
Now, that didn't mean he would follow the beast's opinion, but he was willing to at least...consider it. After all, perhaps giving him the option of a quiet punishment might allow him more nuance in better ensuring that he learned the lesson.
The wrist that had been passed against the lips of the mortal was pale. It was left with pearls of red dripping down and leaving lines of red to spill on the floor as splatters. He turned his gaze to the mortal in particular. It was Sookie Stackhouse's idiot brother. The perfect puppet for his mind games. Someone that he could possess and use as he saw fit.
The smirk that was placed against his lips was sudden and alarming if only to the watcher. "You'll come to find," he paused in his delivery of the words. "that you'll be drawn to my presence." His blue eyes were pinning Jason down as he sucked on his wrist. He whispered in his ear, a finger coming to lift his chin from his bleeding appendage.
"That's enough for now," he was amused particularly because he'd known about Stackhouse. He'd known he'd been addicted to vampire blood. He wanted to exploit him, and wreck him down to his core. Take his fundamental being and rip the core of it out to see what remained.
Eric knew that he could get what he wanted from his sister if he exploited her brother too. That was the main thought process that had Eric plotting. "You'll find an interesting difference in my blood. It's aged longer so it's like wine."
