1) One Piece This is most likely not a surprise to anyone who knows me. One Piece is like my one true eternal passion and I will love it forever and ever. It is the most popular anime/manga in Japan ever, and there is a good reason for this. 'nuff said.

2) Death Note Death note is one of those animes that are just masterpieces all by themselves. Sure, you tend to lose a bit of interest after (spoiler?) L dies, but that won't fucking stop me from adding that fucking anime to this fucking list.

3) Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, mostly, but that doesn't mean the first anime didn't make a huge impact on me too. If Death Note is a masterpiece, FMA:B is divine. I have never heard anyone say a single bad word about it and neither will I.

4) Shingeki no Kyoujin SNK took the anime community by storm when the manga finally ot an anime and I am ashamed to admit how long it took me to be swept up by it. I always love seeing new concepts being invented and then executed gloriously and SNK does just that. Also, canon queer kids? Fuck yes!

5) Lucky Star Lucky Star is a silly little dumb anime by KyoAni and I love it to bits. It's about a group of high school girls and their daily lives. No high stakes, no unnecessary drama, just silly girls doing silly things. I like to rewatch it every now and then, perfect for a rainy day where you just need to curl up and watch mindless fluff.

6) Naruto I gave up on Naruto a few years back but that doesn't mean it didn't have a huge impact on my life. It wasn't the first anime I watched, but it was the anime that got me into watching anime. Also my OTP all turned out to be canon in the end, so yay, I guess?

7) Elfen Lied One of the first animes I watched and, for a 14 year old girl, it made quite the impact on my young, innocent (yeah right) mind. I've always had a morbid fascination for the.. well.. morbid, and Elfen Lied hit the spot just right. I'm pretty much no one who has ever watched that anime could ever forget it, so this is how it ended up on the list. Nononono, a later manga by the same mangaka, is one of my all time favorites btw. Check it out!

8) Pokemon & Digimon I put these together because.. well... just... childhood. Forever childhood.

9) Free! Free! was actually my first sports anime and what managed to pull me back into the anime world after I'd managed to break free for a few years. Bad free. very bad. I love it. KyoAni knows how to get my attention, and keep it.
