it was noticeable how her demeanor changed the moment she was sat in front of a piano. she hadn’t expected to be forced into this position in such an event, but apparently her music degree finally seemed useful for her father when one of the people he was interested on charming, showed interest on classical music. sunghee made her way to her piano which had last been touched a few years ago, right before she moved out of the manor and bought a new one for her actual apartment. her fingers grazed the keys before she let out a small sigh before she began playing one of her favorite pieces. a small smile curving her lips as she got lost in playing-- there was something in playing piano for her that made her feel safe, like she was finally good for something. maybe it was the fact she had been child prodigy when things in her life were started going south, or maybe it was the fact that her music teacher was the only one giving her positive reinforcement in such an important stage in her life but, whatever it was, it surely made her feel like she belonged in something.  several minutes passed before she cut the piece short, scared she’d bore the rest of guests around. sunghee stood up slowly and bowed at whoever was paying attention to her, a wide smile present on her lips due to the clapping of those who had enjoyed her performance. she mouthed a small thank you before walking away to get herself a drink, it had been quite a while since she put a performance for other than the students who once begged her to play for them. sunghee arrived the bartender stand and asked for a bottle of water before hearing her name being called out. she turned to face them, the smile on her face still present. “i don’t give out autographs, sorry!” she joked shyly before taking a sip from the water bottle.
