COMFORT FOOD 🐔🍚❤️ // Hainanese Chicken Rice (1/2 chicken $17); Mee Goreng Combo ($16); Spinach with Garlic $15, Bowl of Chicken rice ($4.70) from Tak Chee, Northbridge. My favourite for Hainanese Chicken Rice, the other being Mamak House in Morley. First time trying the Mee Goreng here and it’s quite good - Mamak style - wokhei would have made it even better. There was a period of time where the Hainanese chicken chilli sauce was sweetened too much - glad it isn’t the case now and they’re good again. Do you guys like how I compare my visits from previous times and let you know if they’ve improved or deteriorated in my personal opinion? CHICKEN RICE IS LIFE 🐓🍚 // Hainanese Chicken Rice, Pan-fried garlic chicken and sambal kangkong from Tak Chee House, Northbridge (visited Aug’20). Menu on @perthfoodmenu or click #PFR_TakChee One of my favourite places for meals under aud15. Deviated from the normal Hainanese chicken rice as they had sold out of the thigh portion. Turns out I shouldn’t have as the breast portion (juicy and tender) still tasted so much better than the pan-fried garlic chicken. The garlic chicken was too oily and the fried batter was too hard for my liking. Sambal kangkong is good.
