German why?! TIL that moths are butterflies.
I just learned that the term moth (Motte) in German doesn't exist.
So in the past I thought:
Butterfly: Schmetterling (in German)
Moth: motte
But no it's:
Butterfly: Tagfalter
Lepidoptera: Schmetterling
Moth: Nachtfalter
Both butterflies and moths are Lepidoptera. But in German we commonly use the terms wrong. Ugh.
