Just playing around with expressions and posing and thinking up some silly ideas for him to do as a toon. I imagine he can raise a lil sail when he wants to go faster in the water. Kind of like a last resort sorta deal. Huey and Skippy are from two different isles but that doesnt stop them from visiting one another.
Neither of them are bosses more like residents who chill in the area and help out folks in need or perform special tasks.

Some Walter the Reaper info
Walter is a pretty chill fella. He has been at the reapin business for longer than anyone can count and not much phases him. This may make him seem a bit cold or heartless when he doesnt blink at tragic happenstances however he has just seen too many wars, plagues, murders and worse to have it really surprise him anymore.You probably wouldnt know any of that from Walter’s demeanor though.
Walter sometimes seems oblivious and hyperfocused on very simple things like a nap or getting a sandwich. If you were to ask him about this he’d likely just reply ‘its the simple things’ and leave it at that. Despite his longing for a small break he seems doomed to have any peaceful moment interrupted by something or other.
This reaper is actually quite kind but he is also extremely guarded. Boy does he have stories about all the people who tried to cheat him in order to cheat death and the stories keep coming to this day. I suppose just dont be offended if he doesnt shed a tear for a tragic backstory. Not that it isnt meaningful but hes heard something similar more than likely.
Nonetheless he does have a lot of deep seeded emotions that he often keeps buried deep deeeeeeeeeep down. Walter cant have those emotions effect his work. He is pretty on top of his job but also has bent the rules on special occasion for special people.
Walter what do you do as a reaper?
“Its pretty simple.”
“I pick folks up.”
“And take them where they need to go.”
Its just a very busy job, there are a lot of people that need to be picked up every day.
One issue I continually run into regarding organization is whether I want worlds to be their own thing or connected to the Hue System. For example, the Drajinn and Trejar I initially thought would be their own world since I had ideas for an entire planet there. But then thoughts creep in such as ‘oh but maybe it’d fit snug here in the Hue system’ and I’m just “BRAIN MAKE UP YOUR MIND”
For now Trejar is still its own place apart from the Hue System but one world I’m particularly on the fence on is Taffiton. Taffiton is home to the Taffitoons which are basically the Merriway version of Rubberhose Cartoons. Initially I had them as the attendants for Vermillinder, the Hueminn of Epic Dreams. Vermillinder’s world is themed after movie studios and theaters from the 1930s & 40s. I had some rubberhose OCs I made already who didnt really have a world they belonged to yet and thought they would make a good match because rubberhose was still quite in full swing around the 1930s.
Another reason I figured rubberhose style characters may fit Vermillinder is because cartoons tend to be as epic as you can get? I know most folks would consider them for kids but cartoons can practically do anything! Part of the whole animation medium appeal was the fact that you can make places and have characters that could never exist in reality.
Writing it out actually makes me feel better about my decision so I’ll probably keep Taffiton in Vermillinder’s world for the time being unless something or someone convinces me that it’d work better on its own.
