NPC's, Characters and The Anarchic
NPC's (None-player-Characters)
𒀖 Marionettes
Marionettes are lesser AI created by Caine, appearing in the form of simple looking marionettes.
Their purpouse is to created a better gameplay experience by taking the role of villagers, salesman and enemies. Some may have a Quest or a Quest Series.
Interacting with them is essential if a player needs information, better equipment or specific items.
The Wildlands battle system applies to Marionettes just the same as it does for Characters.
They can be pacifistic, neutral or combative.
A pacifistic Marionette cannot enter a battle.
A neutral Marionette will only enter a battle if attacked. Otherwise it remains friendly when approached without agression.
A combative Marionette seeks a battle and will always try to attack a Character to enter the a battle with them. If a Character runs away from a combative Marionette to avoid a fight, the combative Marionette will hunt after them.
𒀖 Creatures
Creatures are lesser AI created by Caine, appearing in the form of animalistic monsters. Their looks differ from world to world.
Interacting with them is essential if a character needs better equipment, specific items or wants to level up further.
The Wildlands battle system applies to Creatures just the same as it does for Characters.
They can be pacifistic, neutral or combative.
A pacifistic Creature cannot enter a battle.
A neutral Creature will only enter a battle if attacked. Otherwise it remains friendly when approached without agression.
A combative Creature seeks a battle and will always try to attack a Character to enter a battle with them. If a Character runs away from a combative Creature to avoid a fight, the combative Creature will hunt after them.
𒀖 Bestia
Bestia are lesser AI created by Caine, appearing in the form of animalistic monsters with an imposing size and power. Their looks differ from world to world. Every world has at least one Bestia.
Interacting with them is essential if a character needs rare equipment, rare items or wants to level up significantly.
The Wildlands battle system applies to Bestia just the same as it does for Characters. The only exception is, that it will flee under no circumstances.
A Bestia is always neutral and only enters a battle if attacked.
𒀖 Characters
Characters are those who call themselves human.
Each individual has a different appearance, as well as different abilities and stats. Each Character has a pre-determined weakness.
Out of all living in the Wildlands, they are the only ones who can level up and improve their stats.
The Wildlands battle system applies to Characters, with few exceptions.
𒀖 The Anarchic
• Anarchic Marionettes are Marionettes consumed and corrupted by The Chaos.
• Anarchic Creatures are Creatures consumed and corrupted by The Chaos.
• Anarchic Bestia are Bestia consumed and corrupted by The Chaos.
• Anarchic Characters are Characters consumed and corrupted by The Chaos.
The behavior of The Anarchic is unpredictable. Some act mindlessly and have only destruction as their goal. Others are as deeply thinking and feeling as a Character.
Any and all Anarchic's are harmful by nature. In darkness they grow rigid and silent. It is suspected that The Anarchic mistake complete darkness with The Chaos, and get paralyzed out of fear.
