Welcome meal: Although many of us are missing large gatherings, we cherish the moments we can still gather in small groups. And we find creative ways to celebrate special milestones. A few of us decided to throw a mini dinner party to officially welcome a team member who just transitioned to a new role. I've missed hosting in my home these past several months so it was a gift to be able to use our team center kitchen to cook in and dining space to host this gathering. It worked out well that I chose a Viet themed meal as our guest of honour enjoys both those favours and the fact that it's a meal best eaten with fingers. Another friend took care of décor and another prepared a dinner table game. All and all, we were successful in making our new teammate feel welcome.
