“Heh... yeah, with all the craziness of Ruby and Sapphire’s wedding, it was pretty hard to just find the time to sit and talk,” Bismuth agreed. Now that they did have the time, it just made sense to do just that. His introduction was simple, but it said a lot. She liked that.
“Well, it’s good to meet you too, Greg,” she said as she moved to make herself comfortable in the sand. The beach wasn’t the best place to sit, but that was where they were conversing. So, in the sand she went. “Probably goes without sayin’, but I’m an old, old friend of Pearl and Garnet’s.” She didn’t know what the others had said about her to Greg, if anything, but she’d be happy to fill him in if he needed her to.
“So if you’re Steven’s dad, I guess you and Rose were pretty close,” she concluded. That much wasn’t unusual to her. Rose had always had a soft spot for humans. Bismuth realized, though, that it might not be the best topic to get stuck on.
