The first time Seokjin had visited this club, he’d been a little bit concerned about remaining anonymous without being one of those assholes who wear sunglasses indoors and, ironically enough, drawing more attention to himself than he would have without them. It was a pretty little place with enough appeal to draw customers in without making someone worry that they might get kicked out for being out of dress code.
It’s a bit different from what Seokjin is used to from his clubbing days in Seoul- the clubs in Gangnam had been very strict on dress code and a little too over the top for someone who doesn’t dance- but the allure is there and Seokjin finds himself returning again and again.
He’s leaning lazily against the bar as the bartend makes him a drink, one with a name so obnoxious that Seokjin blushes through ordering it every time, when he realizes that he's yet to see Jinyoung. As much as Seokjin hates to admit it, the first time he’d run into the man, he’d been drawn to him. Normally, Seokjin is able to refrain from being too starstruck by handsome men- especially when he’s well aware of how handsome he himself is- but for some reason Jinyoung had caught his attention and refused to let it go.
Once they’d actually spoken, Seokjin was shocked to hear the kind of snark that came from such a pretty face. It was almost off-putting at first, given that Seokjin was probably older than him, but by the end of the first night he’d spent chatting the man up he found it endearing. Sure, Jinyoung had a tongue sharper than Seokjin’s beloved cooking knives, but he was never quite outright mean and he was funny, dammit. Seokjin was most definitely charmed.
It’s not until his drink is passed off to him and Seokjin’s attention is briefly drawn away from his embarrassing search, that he finally catches sight of that familiar face.
“Hey,” Seokjin greets, a small smile playing at his lips. “You finally decided to show up, huh?”
