tw synesthesia post but celeste i can always sense u on my dash in a way that’s like i see/feel like a dark mauve / black ribbon like under my phone and on my hand like the cool skin of a corn snake
synesthesia is so wild sometimes, i remember a guy from one of the classes i took last semester whose voice was green and turquoise and i was like whoa?!? green voice! because, for me, most peoples’ voices are either warm (red, orange, yellow) or they’re some shade of purple (especially deeper-pitched voices) but no, this dude’s voice was cyan and green! he was kind of mildly annoying tbh but he’s one of the only people i’ve ever known with a green voice.
Playlist: angelcore
yes thank you thank you. I wanted to do songs that were kind of ethereal but not in a soft, harps and classical music way. This is probably not at all what most people think of when they think “angelcore” but here we are

What letter tastes the best??
i’m quite a fan of uppercase T (i forgot to specify that it’s lowercase h that tastes vaguely like alcohol handgel, uppercase H is kind of tangy. it’s like citrus zest but slightly to the left.) which has like, a savoury, kind of salty taste. idk what to compare it to bc it’s not meaty savoury. i could picture it as like, a weird potato chip/crisp flavour. idk what you’d call the flavour (other than uppercase T) but itd be good
(also letters that have similar upper case/lower case graphemes? they taste the same. upper case and lower case S/s and O/o taste the same. whether accent marks have an effect depends; letters with umlauts/circumflexes/similar “above” marks taste the same as those without, whereas letters like ‘ø’ i cannot taste at all
i also only do this with the latin alphabet. i believe these connections must form super early in life, because i was taught to recognise the pronunciations of all the letters in the cyrillic alphabet by a friend when i was 13/14, and they don’t have flavours. same for alphabets i don’t know of course)

3: Is having synesthesia a blessing or a curse?
Honestly? It’s both. It really enriches my life and I can’t imagine what it would be like to not have it. But it can also get intensely overwhelming and has led to a lot of my sensory overload. If I am feeling unwell sometimes I have to be selective about what sounds I listen to because it can be too much. It also has made it so that I describe my emotions oddly. Sometimes I’ll say I feel like a foggy forest with deep greens and it doesn’t exactly help me express myself.
4: What kinds of synesthesia do you have?
My main one is chromesthesia. Sounds are colors and textures. But also emotions, physical sensations, and people have colors. I can also very lightly feel sounds and hear touches. It’s also suggested that misphonia is a form of synesthesia and I have that intensely.
15: Has being synesthetic ever interfered in your daily life?
Absolutely. Like I said it can cause sensory overload. It also constantly affects the way I do art. It can be distressing to see/hear things that “clash” to me.
A ocean blue and seafoam green playlist?
Couldn’t decide if this playlist should be laid back or not so it’s just messy (link)
A violet and/or storm-grey playlist
First of all I apologize in advance for how much these songs don’t go together. I went with storm-grey because i actually looooove songs with this color. This is the kind of playlist that only seems cohesive to me because it’s my synesthesia (link):
