In her latest episode, host Colleen Monroe recaps her evening at the 8th Annual Outstanding Art of TV Costume Design Exhibit, which took place at the FIDM museum in downtown LA. Sync OnSet users Jenn Rogien and Joshua Marsh talk about the evolution and “hierarchy of color” when designing “Orange is the New Black.” From the pops of color in the flashbacks to incorporating the overall color story of the show, Jenn Rogien and Joshua Marsh elaborate on their careers and designing for the show, as well as their best advice for new and upcoming designers. Rogien says, “I encourage people to test drive...see if it’s really for you because the appearance of costume design is very glamourous and the reality is a little bit different than what you see portrayed on TV,” while Marsh advises listeners to “learn as much as you can and say yes as often as you can!”
