I had one of those really cool symposiums yesterday for new advancements in pulmonary care for patients who are suffering from COPD, CAP, Tuberculosis and the like at St. Lukes Medical Center Global City and it was very cognitively enlightening as much as it was physiologically filling. 

My class was required to participate in the said symposium and since it was St. Luke's facilities we were talking about, it was understood we had to dress up. Funny how we got in the auditorium so sexy, and got out of it all bloated. Our breakfast, lunch buffet and merienda were on the house, not to mention the whole thing was one big working break with a coffee kiosks serving fantastic coffee were on the perimeter of the room. 

(Of course I'm much more focused on the food than the lectures discussed by several esteemed doctors from eminent training hospitals around the metro.)

Kidding aside, I personally found a humble volume of knowledge relevant as most of these advancements were much more inclined towards physicians' care than nurses' as, lo and behold, the doctors were the ones talking in front, not those that share my nature. It even gets worse. Students lack clinical practice, and for that poor doctor who had prepared approximately fifty-four slides on interpreting mechanical ventilator graphical loops has come to nothing but to the oblivion of forgotten knowledge. 

Needless to say, their pointing out of my ignorance to updated pulmonary care, so to speak, and the innate snobbery of top-notch medical practictioners have led me to a "more profound" inspiration to become a doctor myself.
