haejoon: unlabeled. he doesn't really care. i probably like boys but i got a test tmr so idrc type shit. if i had to label him he's in the aro-pan neighborhood probably. gender doesn't really factor in for him and tbh he doesn't really experience that much romantic attraction either but sometimes he feels something adjacent to it. he's a man categorically. agender in mindset. if he had been born a woman he wouldn't gaf then too.

eunyung: honestly very similar but he keeps putting herself in romantic situations #whatswrongwithher. i think he is probably more on the gay side in that she always kinda knew it but actually acting on his attraction to men made her reevaluate some things. probably has some gender stuff going on too! shoutout that one person on the eunyung tag who is the world's #1 eunyung transfem truther i love reading ur posts. for me i imagine she/he genderfluid eunyung. probably closeted abt this fact but occasionally dresses out. she's probably played a few lady roles on account of his beauty.

juwan: heeee isssss bisexual! no two ways about it lmfao. he's very comfortable in his sexuality so he's probably the first in the group to actually come out, and then he gets bullied cause Yes we knew juwan. no it wasn't hard to tell. gayass. i think him and hara are a little qpr with it but they don't know that nor do they really care. is a man and pretty certain of that fact. he's comfortable enough to experiment but doesn't really get much from it other than opening his wardrobe to some more options

marie kim: DYKE. LESBO. QUEER. yes she is in fact a lesbian!!! juwan and her have that lesbian bisexual solidarity!! probably the second to realize in the group. super obvious she doesn't gaf abt men in a romantic capacity. i also think she gets a little nonbinary with it. i think at some point in college she realizes that the only real attachment she has to her womanhood is the very gendered trauma she experienced at the hands of her brother and father, but other than that, she has no real attachment to the concept of being a woman. she has more attachment to being a weird little girl i think.

hara: butch aro lesbian. to me. it's hard for me to imagine a hara kang that is sincerely interested in romance. i think she would totally be the type to not even notice how romance-centered the world is until she notices that all of her friends coupled up while she was looking away and she's just like ?!?!?!! since when did YOU guys care??? i think she would develop the typical aro "bc my friends are dating people i won't be the priority in their lives and we're going to become distant with each other. it's already happened before" dilemma. you'll always have juwan girl. i do think she likes being a woman! she just prefers masc presentation. gets sir'd a lot in public and doesn't really care abt it other than to poke fun at juwan, who might get ma'am'd sometimes bc he would start dressing a little gay.

minju: tough. tough one for me. my first instinct is to say comphet lesbian but i think it's a little more complex than that bc i do feel like her attraction to juwan was genuine. the comphet is definitely there; i think that initially, she wants to find a man who would provide and spoil for her, but also i think this would be at odds with the fact that 1) she wants to go to work, and 2) she doesn't want to be a mother!! i think minju is (said affectionately) too selfish to be a mother, and she knows that about herself enough to not want it in her life. however all the men she meets want to provide for her and spoil her, but they also want the full trad package: the housewife, the kids, the house with the picket fence. after a while she just stops dating, and when marie comes out, although she doesn't think she's a lesbian, the realization that she wasn't actually attracted to any of the men she dated, she was attracted to their image, what they could give her, but not THEM in actuality. she could be a little aro, but i think that for the most part she's attracted to women, and occasionally attracted to men but very sparsely. yeah she's a lady, not much to comment on that other than after her great idgaf abt men realization she starts doing a little more with her presentation, still femme but she gets weirder with it. not TOO weird but just a little bit

relationships with each other:

haejoon and eunyung: weird undescribed and unlabeled relationship here. domestic/messy/loud/calm/quiet/screaming/togetherness/understanding/etc. they move in together at some point. eunyung stops dating but has clarified on multiple occasions that haejoon and her are not dating. all of their friends don't get it at all but have learned to stop asking at some point. they get each other and that's all that matters.

minju and marie: read make believe by mousediary on ao3. read everyone by mousediary actually. but yeah they're in romo i think, but they take the LONGGGG WAYYY THEREEEE. the whole friend group is torn between "we have to let them take their time we can't force them together" and "I NEED THEM TO BE NORMALLL. JUST DATE ALREADY". when they finally get together the group chat sighs a silent breath of relief.

juwan and hara: typical qpr :-) they are each other's constant in life. no matter where you go i'll be there for you, no matter who you're with or what you are. have always and will always accept each other first.

haejoon&eunyung and juwan: JUWAN'S ONE-SIDED CRUSH ON THE BOTH OF THEM WHO CLAPPED. THEY DO NOT WANT YOU BRO. they both love him very very much but at the thought of ever being romantically entangled they were both like Eugh.
