You twirl your fingers through your wavy locks as you gaze through your window. The wind is blowing so hard that the rain is falling in sideways sheets, and you frown slightly as a troubling thought comes to mind. You sure hope it doesn’t damage your tree. It couldn’t hurt to add a bit of security, or so you think as you open your window and shimmy out of it, now standing on the sturdy platform that aids in becoming a foundation for your tree-hive. Now, it’s time for action.

Your eyes flicker faintly, and branches and vines start to twist before you in order to create a natural walkway to the ground. You can’t help but smile as you feel your own power come to bond with the essence of the greenery around you. It always feels so good, so clean, and you find yourself humming in the rain as you descend to the dirt and moss below. You step away from the floral walkway, but not before flowers come to bloom where you had just tread. Gog, how you loved to be you.

Your eyes and hands gain a glow as you kneel by the base of your tree and place your palm near an exposed root. You take a breath, and your pulse starts to rise as you close your eyes. You feel your way along the tree’s root system, and as you do so, you gently begin to push your energy through the bark. At least it seems to be in order, but you can never be too careful. More plants sprout around you, vines and ivy crawl across the soil, and in a matter of minutes, greenery surrounds you completely. Your hair, clothes, and skin are soaked, but at least your tree is most likely fine now.

You stand and shake yourself off, now a bit tired as you turn back to your verdant staircase and ascend back to your window. Once you make your way back inside and close it, you quickly hang up your jacket and sit down for a moment in thought. You could use some tea, you decide, both to perk you up and to warm you up. Luckily for you, it’s not hard to give one of your many medicinal herbs and other useful sources an encouraging tap, but your efforts are rewarded nonetheless by an aromatic burst of tea leaves.
