Ever since Sterling was a child she absolutely adored animals! She was constantly asking her father if they could bring home every stray dog or kitten she found, and though she finally got her wish when her father allowed her to bring her dog home, she was told no a thousand other times since there was no way they could have as many animals as Sterling wanted. However, her mother did allow her to foster animals a few times. They would love them and take care of them until they could find their permanent homes, which was something Sterling realized she loved doing. So, even though Sterling never really needed a job because her father paid for most everything, Sterling started working at Seaside animal rescue when she was in high school.
Sterling remembered the day Sydney came in and got a job and they instantly clicked, especially after Sterling found out she was pregnant with Sunny. They became friends so quickly and Sydney helped her figure out what the hell she was doing as a mom. Even though there was only a four year age difference between them, Sterling respected and looked up to Sydney so much.
"You wanna get drinks after this, mama?" Sterling put her hands on her hips as she walked over to her friend. No matter how much Sterling loved her job, she couldn't deny it was hard work. But it was all so worth it. "I think Lizzie is gonna watch Sun for a while. Maaaybbe you can get Sagey to watch Emma for you?" Sterling looped her arm with Sydney's and batted her eyes at her with a grin.
