The elf doesn’t want to seem too  excited, but -- it’s been many moons since she’d made it to Erebor and dwarves aren’t likely to show up in Mirkwood. But,  when she realises it’s him, Tauriel can’t help herself. She leaps from her hiding  place and jumps toward him. 

The spymaster regarded the dwarf with interest as she walked in the snow. Her feet stepped into the fresh snow, a crunching noise followed her, giving away her position. That didn’t matter though, it was the middle of winter in Haven after all, Leliana did enjoy the snow. It was peaceful type of weather as it drifted down from the sky. 

            A brow to arch and lips to quirk, an expression of a foothold deigning into curiosity strikes against a wide visage. Whiskey oculi peer at the fellow dwarf, his sullied look and vexed countenance -- had he truly left such a horrendous impression on a man he hardly knew? Probably, knowing his track record. Card game gone wrong, seduced sister ( or mother ), something along the lines of a nug-theft, who even knew... Varric pauses for a moment, tongue clucking whilst innate charm seemingly takes over. Nothing like an attempt to diffuse a situation before it starts.
