A beautiful, personal response from a dear friend, to intro the 9th track on "Desire Like Dynamite".

This song is very personal for me because it was written about my daughter. We started the process in Oct. 2003 to adopt our daughter from China. I bought a journal because I knew the process would be long and I wanted to gather my thoughts and prayers for my daughter. We had already named her Amelia and I started each entry "Sweet Amelia".

This journal was a way for me to connect my heart with my daughter until I could hold her in my arms. The waiting was very hard. I knew the timetable of adoptions from China and knew how long we would have to wait for her. When I started the journal, she was inside the belly of an amazing women I may never meet in China. 

It is sweet to look back at the journal to the moments Jesus met me through my tears and longing. I took a trip to Paris with my husband, Kevin, the week she was born and I took the journal with us. I know the prayers I was praying for her the day her life changed forever. My husband took my journal after we got back from China in 2005 and copied it and gave it to Sandra. 

This song is a treasured gift and I pray it will connect with others that are waiting and longing for their child.
