Final Confessional
Mentions: Celeste, Xavier, Raj, Antony, Sebastian, Juniper, Chris Notes:Â Thomasâ last confessional for Ship-Wrecked
âAll right, last one of these. Wonât say Iâll miss it, if weâre being honest,â Thomas said as he adjusted the lav mic on his shirt. âYouâre all great, but I am tired of my thoughts being broadcast for the world to see.â
âWeâll try not to be offended by that. Youâre one of the original Ship-mates. How does it feel to be going home?â
âHonestly? It feels incredible. Iâm ready. Iâve been ready ever since I was able to go home and see my family. I want to get back to work. I want to see my family again. Most importantly, I want to start my life with Celeste.â
âYou and Celeste are great together. We all ship it, if you will. But you almost didnât end up with her. You could have left here with Xavier once upon a time.â
Thomas nodded. âI know, and I think in another life Xavier and I could have been good together. But everything has turned out better than I ever expected. Xavier and Raj are great together. I can see how happy they make each other. I think everyone who is paired up now work well. And Celeste is the most incredible woman Iâve ever met. She makes me smile until my face hurts, and she makes me want to be the best version of myself. Itâs no secret that my first marriage was toxic. That wonât be the case between the two of us.â
âSo, you have plans to propose to her?â
âI already have the ring, and yes,â he said and left it at that. âI know how disappointed you all will be that it wonât be captured on camera. And our wedding wonât be televised like Tony and Sebâs was. Thatâs never something I wanted anyway,â he shrugged.
âWhat comes next after that?â
âLife, I suppose,â Thomas laughed. âEverything. I hope a family, one day. I would love to have kids with her. But things can never be as fast with us as they were with Chris and Juni. But Iâm so happy for them. Every time they talk about the baby or each other, their faces light up.Â
âLast questions. What was the worst part of being on Ship-Wrecked, and what advice do you have for next seasonâs contestants?â
âIâm pretty sure everyone is going to say the lack of proper food was the hardest part. We are all much skinnier than we started, and everyone was fit to begin with. Yeah, we got normal food toward the end, but months without it sucked. I hope you donât do that to the next group. Maybe they could also get full food privileges after they win access to the bungalows. And maybe give out more of those opportunities next time, too,â Thomas suggested. âI hope the next Ship-Mates enjoy this place as much as possible. Make a ton of friends and let your heart be open to love. You never know what kind of joy it can bring you.â
âGreat stuff, Thomas. Thank you. Donât block our number. We will probably be in touch in the near future.â
âDonât make it too soon,â he said and left the tent.
