Rapunzel wants to sound sincere in her annoyance, though laughter threatens to creep into her tone. It’s a losing battle, though she brandishes her spoon like it’s the most fearsome of swords against the encroaching rogue as he attempts to dip his fingers in her latest batch of frosting.

She only gives him a gentle swat, a playful warning that leaves his hand coated in pink.

“ You can’t just stick your hands in my work. My PARENTS are going to be eating these! ” These being the small cakes scatted across the counter top, each baked perfectly golden and waiting to be adorned with the pale frosting in the bowl before her. That is, if she can keep it all from being eaten first.

But any resentment softens in his presence. She makes a show of guarding the bowl from the roguish man., though, with exaggerated reluctance, she holds her once-weaponized spoon out to him to offer a small taste.
