It depends on what kind of sex they like to have, but generally, lube is ideal. Lube is great for all kinds of sex, but particularly anal sex, as butts generally don’t produce lubricant on their own. (You could possibly write some kind of magic in to be able to do that temporarily, or something.) 

If they are fluid-bonded (as in, they have sex without barriers between fluids and the other person, so like, without condoms and such) then they might or might not use condoms or an equivalent, for mouth-to-penis stuff, or handjobs. In ye olden days of the early condoms, they were actually made from sausage skins (literally, the guy who first invented condoms as we know them today was a sausage maker). Do with that what you will.

Condoms should usually be used for anal sex but that’s more about just keeping things clean. People who are married might be okay with inevitably coming in contact with their partner’s poop, which tends to happen with anal, and can happen even if an enema has helped clear the way. If these characters have had sex before, they probably already have an enema. This link has information written by a doctor about preparing for anal sex hygeine-wise, including some info on enemas.

Barriers are also important for mouth-to-anus stuff, as butts are known to have a lot of bacteria, and going without is a big risk for parasites and the like. Urethras (pee holes) are not as big a deal to have direct contact with because urine is generally sterile. Poop, in all circumstances, is a risk. You don’t want a parasite in your digestive system accidentally. For that, dental-dams are the best go-to, but people often use plastic wrap as it is generally more available. Plastic wrap is not as good as dental dams made for sex purposes though (as far as preventing transmission of infections, bacteria and such) as the molecular structure is different. But it is likely better than nothing.

I would also say that latex or nitrile gloves are also really useful, and they can be cut in ways that make them usable as dental dams or condoms for folks who may have genitalia better suited to the size of a thumb.

For your setting, maybe have something magical that is akin to a dental dam but can shape itself for whatever given purpose? You could have some kind of magic fabric that has the texture/thickness/sensitivity of a dental dam and have it be able to restrict or enlarge at different points if pulled a certain way maybe.

They're in the space between Faerie & the mortal world, right? So maybe some kind of work invoking liminality or twilight. I feel like I've seen "in-betweeners" someone where, but maybe a work with that kind of flavor to it?

Is there a less common word used for faries? Something like "fair folk" but one less well known? Or maybe a word for "human" (or "man") if the faires are the one to use it, especially something archaic. If you have more emphasis on there being two separate worlds, some kind of play off of "duo" or "separate"? (I don't really know much of faire lore, but maybe that'll help you brainstorm.)

So, a quick survey of Google hints that Celtic languages tend to have a \dən\ kind of sound (well, with varying vowels) at the start of their word for “human”, which would merge well with “fae” or “fay”, and “faedun” would echo with “fade”, vaguely sound like it might mean “faded” (feeling a bit twilight-ish?), and still invoke the word “fey” (thanks, Tolkien, for introducing me to a connection between “fated to die” and “Faerie”). Ooh, and “dun” has connections to “earth”, which means that it has ties to both places, too.
