I have a small but growing network of colleagues and kindred spirits in the region i call Les Coureurs des Bois - we might trade seeds or roots, teach each other backyard charcuterie or tanning or weaving, forage for our dinner, call each other when we're looking for something rare or have a *really* weird question, plant food forests, or even just defy the neighbors and let the dandelions grow. But right now we're working on a formula to smite the patriarchy. Crowd-sourced contributions are coming in. (Would really love to get a praying mantis or black widow spider carcass kicking up in here too.) It's kinda like stone soup, only we're angry, not hungry, and between us we have thousands of years of herbal knowledge, countless generations of righteous fury, and not a little experience with sneaky tricks and tying natures. Common violet, viola sororia. Used in love work and medicinally for colds, cough, headache, and intestinal upsets. I love my job. Don't get me wrong - i know i am not really great at every aspect of it lol... For instance, my great-grandmother would tut at my needlework here and deem it "as crooked as McKinley's mouth" 😆 , and i think i have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt over the last 12 months that i am barely capable of making any tech stuff more complicated than a blog go the way it is supposed to go. I've killed the lavender twice and the rosemary four times over the last couple of years, and if i'm losing fewer chickens now than i did five summers ago, i am still raising what might be the most ill-behaved and homely flock of barnyard mutts west of Moss Point. I may very well fail more often than i succeed. But you learn an awful lot by failing -- even more if you're able to try again afterwards -- and I am learning something new every day. Back in stock: Old school money drawing mojo - extra strength, made by hand from scratch, and loaded with carefully selected fixed, dressed, and fed herbs, roots, curios, and specially crafted petition papers.
