So glad u have anon on cause honestly was too shy to say something on the post đ
But I the recent issue of tahny and the lost Batch you mentioned vampirism as a sexual metaphor?
I know how that usually translates but how does that relate to tahny?
Honestly bae, that's very complicated lol
Tahny, despite all appearances- is Demi.
She really doesn't feel attraction often, in fact, Crosshair is the first person she was instinctually drawn to. It's why she's so vulnerable to it. She never went though that middle school, obnoxious, celebrity crushes kind of phase that teaches you to calm the kriff down later. She's down bad for the first time in her life and she has no idea what to do about it.
Not that she hasn't engaged in sexual activity. Tahny is Bi, not in an enthusiastic "I like boys AND girls" kind of way, but a blah kind of "I don't see why it matters" kind of way. She's conditioned by her environment to view sex as common place. She was made to feel odd for her lack of drive to pursue sex. She found other ways to engage.
Sex is a part of her identity whether she likes it or not. Its who she was raised to be.
With the vampire comics Tahny has a difficult time feeding, not because there's a moral dilemma like most conventional vampire stories, but because she lacks the desire to feed off of random people. She's quiet eager to learn and participate in hunting, but when it comes time to bite she can't maintain her apatite.

Summary: Baby Laera/Anora during Order 66! Anora, as Laera was called back then, was a Padawan stationed aboard a medical center that treated injured Jedi and Clones when the order was given.
As the shockwaves subsided, the emergency lights kicked on and so did the air, overwhelming her with the stinging aroma of smoke and sterilizer. The clash of blaster bolts and the hum of a swinging lightsaber raged through the blood red halls, joined in chorus by the blaring evacuation siren and the screams of the injured and defenseless. Still, she kept her hand clamped over her mouth and nose to muffle the sound of her breathing. In her ears, her pulse pounded. In the bottom of her stomach, a pit formed.
She did not understand â why were they doing this? Weren't they friends? Did she do something to make them mad? What did she do? Tears sprang from her ocean blue eyes and rolled down her rosy, cherubic cheeks. What did she do?
"Anora!" Master Teble called out. "Anora, call for help!"
She did not move â she couldn't. Her fear had condemned her to watch the destruction of her kin through the slats of the vent she had crawled into to hide.
The clone troopers corralled her master into a corner. Her turquoise, serpent-like head tendrils slithered angrily in the air behind her. Over and over she deflected the blaster bolts with her green saber, sometimes taking out a clone with a well-timed swing, but more often than not, being grazed herself. Her movements were slowing. She was hurt and losing hope. Despite sensing that her Padawan was close by, she was more alone than she'd ever been.
Agony and death poisoned the medical station as the clones advanced. She snapped her eyes shut and covered her ears, but it did nothing to drown out the screams. Not the younglings, someone pleaded, no, please not the younglings!

working as a medic, you are approached with a new patient
Warnings: mention of TIE fighter crash, respiratory problems, medical procedures, bad punctuation and grammar,
F/N- first name
__________________________________________
Between your departure and the beginning of the clone wars, you spent your time traveling from system to system gaining new techniques and knowledge of health care. You excelled at the medical academy and already gained much experience. Your patients included Jawas, Wookiees, togrutas, government officials, humans, and even mandalorians. Now those were hard patients.
Once the clone wars hit you were hired as a battlefield medic for the republic. You had no real qualms over the government, your loyalties were to living organisms, no matter who or what they had done. Being Surrounded by Jedi knights, you couldnât help but think of Anakin. You selfishly hoped he never found someone to replace you.
While on the planet Naboo before the war broke out you heard talk of senator Padme Amidalaâs new Jedi bodyguard. It seemed as if they were romantically involved which is why it was such a hushed scandal. You of course remembered her as the beautiful young girl who you would never compare to. There's no way that Jedi could be Anakin. Right? No it couldnât be. Either way your main focus now was keeping your patients alive and healthy.
âBâ a nurse called
You turned, âYes?â
âPatient 67 was moved to sector C, but they still need the bacta transfusion and the aloe salveâ
âIâm on itâ
âThe Botanistâ or just âBâ is what people called you now, I guess it was better for anonymity? But they mainly called you that because of your signature remedies were ones made of plants. For your final you chose to do a study of different plants with healing properties. After many hours of research you found a plethora of uses for many different botanical organisms. Each species reacted differently to certain plants, for some plants could cure all diseases, but others they would only heal a scrape. Either way you employed plants healing capabilities, in some way, to almost every case you got.
After the war the steady need for medics was dying down. Many of your colleagues opted to settle down in a steady system and open their own practice. Some of you wanted that too but deep down you knew that was not your destiny. You barely ever got a chance to reminisce of your past but every so often you would miss the boy you loved on Tatooine. Where in the galaxy is he now?
You had gained notoriety as a skilled healer who served during the clone wars. A healer who could alleviate the most severe of symptoms, who never turned down someone in need. Throughout your career you were offered many permanent positions, but you could not be swayed no matter how hearty the deal. You still had something to do, you were still unfulfilled.
Some time after order 66 you got wind to the termination of the Jedi. Hm. For a moment you sat silentlyâŠ. You allowed yourself to mourn for the countless lives lost, you let yourself mourn forâŠhim⊠Anakin. Though you wouldnât sadden yourself with the possibilities, you always wished for his mothers affirmations to come true. But now you are an adult with responsibilities, there was no time for fairy tales.
About five years had passed since the fall of the republic, now only the domineering empire remained. Personally the governmental shift had not affected your small life. You didnât know much of the inner workings of this new system. You only heard daunting stories of those who crossed them. You had heard of the feared Darth Vader, a man in a black armored suit, his ruthless red lightsaber the demise of so many souls. Yikes. You wondered if whoever was in the suit had a hand in the termination of the jedi not so long ago.
You were working out of a small mining system, helping locals recover from a major explosion in one of the mines. Heading back to your camp after a long day of work, you felt a sense of unease. Your senses were fighting for you to flee. Why? As much as you tried, you just couldnât shake that feeling. Your fears were confirmed when you saw four stormtroopers huddled around your camp. Your brain screamed for you to run but your legs continued walking. Why would imperial troopers be at your camp? You had never had any run-ins with the law before.
Gingerly you stepped into their view.
âH-Hello? Can I help you?â
They turned together in tandem, blasters held close to their chests. The one closest to you stepped forward and glanced down at you.
âAre you the medic known as the Botanist?â
Suspiciously you nodded, âis there something I can help you with?â
âWe have orders from the emperor to retrieve you.â
âMay I ask the reason for this sudden disturbance?â You asked
âHis majesty wishes to employ you as his apprenticeâs personal physician.â
You began to shake your head, âI do not take exclusive patients, I need to be available for all who require my assistance. Taking this job would mean-â
âDo you really have a choice?â Interrupted another trooper. Your eyes darted between the four figures, blasters perfectly on display.
âI guess I really would be no help if I were dead?â You thought to yourself.
âNo, I will accompany you, do you at least happen to have a file I could study on my new patient?â You sighed, defeated.
The troopers nodded at each other and started walking.
âHello?â You asked hurrying to grab your bag trying to follow them.
âFurther north you will reach a port, from there you will be guided onto an imperial vessel, I assume you will be given the file there. If you fail to reach the port, you will be tracked, hunted, and killed.â
The manâs words sent a shiver down your spine. Luckily you had been operating around this planet for a few months and knew the quickest way to the port. You nodded at the troopers and headed on your way, only your backpack in tow.
__________________________________________
You knew the quickest route to the port, but it was still a long haul. By the time you reached the entrance around five hours had passed. You alternated between hitching rides and walking to reach the destination. You walked in seeing mostly locals sending out shipments or unloading cargo. The large ship on the end of the dock was not easy to miss, the imperial crest adorning its flanks.
You approached the vehicle nervously. Stormtroopers dressed in black armor guarded the entrance.
âHi there, I was sent by a squadron from the east sector. Iâm a medicâ
âThe botanist?â Asked the slightly taller trooper.
âYesâ you confirmed laughing nervously.
The two gave each other a look and stepped out of the way so you could board the carrier. Giving them one final nod you entered the maw of the ship.
How did you get here? What were you doing? You never had any run ins with the empire before now so how would they have even known of your existence? Why did the emperor want you specifically? Who was his apprentice? Why did he need your assistance? What in the galaxy was-
You were pulled from your thoughts as an imperial officer grabbed you by the shoulder.
âThis way, medic.â They spat.
They brought you to a small seating area and motioned for you to take a seat. You nervously sat as they chucked a large file into your lap.
âYou have from now until we reach our destination to become acquainted with your patientâ
You looked at them dumbfounded, you only just heard you were becoming a personal physician and the file in your lap was rather large.
âWhere are we going? How long will I have to study the patientâs file?â You asked.
Rolling their eyes, the officer shortly snapped out,
âIf you must know. Mustafar.â
Before turning and quickly exiting, air tight doors sealing behind them.
Mustafar? You had only ever visited the volcanic planet once and the heat alone was enough to keep you away.
What kind of person could stand to live there? You pondered as you prepared to begin studying the gargantuan folder.
__________________________________________
Mustafar was an uncomfortable planet to say the least. Why anyone would live there was questionable. But one man chose to construct a fortress of the active planet. Heavy footsteps followed by rhythmic breathing filled the corridor as the master of this fortress made his way to his throne room.
He effortlessly created a foreboding demeanor even as he simply sat down. Dressed in the darkest black, the Sith Lord sat on his throne, large body exuding an aura of dominance. In front of him a blue holo-figure, a ghastly oldâŠ.man? The once human face twisted and contorted by hate and insanity spoke to the man in the chair,
âLord Vaderâ
âMaster.â
âHow has your recent recovery faired?â
The dark lord paused for a moment to gather his thoughts. Recently he was involved in a large TIE crash, to further the damage after the crash he was set to face a skilled opponent upon arrival. He was always in pain, but the new blaster burns and the injuries from the crash had impacted him severely.
âIt isâŠadequate, my masterâ he finally responded
The sickly man raised his head to reveal his glowing eyes.
âYourâŠefficiency has beenâŠstrained as of late, lord Vader.â
Those words cut into the mechanical man, he took in deep breath.
âMy apologies, master. I will assure the utmost success for my future endeavorsâ He felt suddenly short of breath, respirator kicking in to save him the struggle of trying to breathe on his own. His masters eyes widened and his mouth opened downwards.
âAhhhh⊠I see you are struggling, my apprentice.
This could become a problemâ
Vaderâs back stiffened, âNO. No, my master, I have everything under control, the droids in my medical wing have been upgraded recently and I-â
The emperor cut off the armored man.
âI have arranged for a highlyâŠ. Reputable medic to aid you with yourâŠ.ailments.â
Vader felt his chest tighten, he didnât need anyone.
âMaster ple-â
âThey are set course on a vessel as we speak.â
Vader was silent. He would not be seen as weak. He would end the medicâs life.
Palpatine spoke once more.
âYou will fail me no longer. You will accept these treatments and you will be restored to your highest efficiency. Am I clearâ
Efficiency. He really was just a machine of the empire. Just a weapon.
âYes, master.â Vader confirmed. Palpatine smiled his all knowing smirk and faded out of the call.
Left to his thoughts, Vader rested his head in one of his gloved palms. He felt as if the only time he wasnât being used as a weapon or even a fighter was as his days with his mother on Tatooine. Watto used him. The jedi used him. Obi-wan used him. The empire used him. Palpatine used him.
Padme.
Padme didnât love him.
butâŠ.
His mother never used him. Neither didâŠ
she.

(a/n: aahhhh, the next chapter should actually have some reader/ vader interaction yaaay :))) i hope u guys r enjoying it here <3)
While milling about the halls of Kamino's military complex, Kote had overheard a transmission his Prime had taken that would take him off-planet and into the heart of the Republic on Coruscant. The Republic, the very organization Kote and his brothers had been created to protect but hadn't had the chance, yet, because no one had come for them. The Kaminoans promised them that it would be soon, but every year that passed he and his brothers lost more and more faith their time would come.
Kote decided that he was tired of waiting.
He took initiative, like he'd been trained to, and snuck aboard Prime's ship so he could demand an audience with the Republic and tell them of the army they had waiting for them back on Kamino.
Of course, there are problems with executing his plan.
It rained extraordinarily less here than it did on Kamino. Kote schooled his features to keep the wonderment off his face lest he drew any unwanted attention to himself, but he couldnât keep his gaze from flicking upwards every couple of clicks with the expectation that heâd spy storm clouds brewing overhead signaling an end to Coruscantâs dry weather. He was proven wrong with every glance. Kote was happy being wrong if it meant he could enjoy the outdoors even longer.
He continued wandering the crowded streets as he searched for any indication he was heading in the right direction. Kote was unfamiliar with the cityâs layout and hadnât asked for directions from any of the civilians he passed. His plans would be for naught if he was recognized by simply asking the wrong person where to go. Instead he relied on his instincts to guide him where he needed to be. They had gotten him this far, aiding him as he snuck off his home planet, maintaining cover throughout his entire voyage as a stowaway and, most recently, escaping the ship he'd been on without discovery. Kote wasnât one who normally put his faith in such unpredictable things. Yet he hadnât been shown his faith was misplaced. Hopefully, it never was.
Kote came upon an intersection with the intention of turning right. However, at the last second, he decided to pause before he hit the corner. His instincts had flared warningly and told him to do so. He scanned his surroundings, searching for the reason why he stopped.
Suddenly a pod of young cadets raced by where he would have been standing. They were playing, chasing after the lead boy who held a miniature spacecraft in his hand that he piloted terribly. Kote drew his cloak tighter around himself as a few of them rushed past closer than he liked. It was better than being trampled. The cadets hurried along, crossing the street and disappearing into the mingling crowd one after the other until the slowest of them jumped between a couple of Twiâleks and an Ithorian and vanished. As they did, so did the alarm in Koteâs head.
      He still hadnât moved.
Kote stared at where the cadets were and was caught in a nostalgia trap, remembering when he had been at a similar age. He and his batchmates liked to pretend they were flying in outer space, too. Except they never had any miniatures like them. Kote, his batchmates, and all his brothers within the compound ran flight simulations based around archival data from old skirmishes in preparation for their duties as soldiers. Immature handling of a craft like heâd seen from that batchâs leader would have gotten him a fierce reprimand from his trainers and the Kaminoans or, if it had been on an actual battlefield, killed. Kote doubted any of those cadets were aware of this fact as he was.
Unlike him, those cadets were not raised to know. They shouldnât have to, either.
He shook himself free of the past with that last thought. Kote could not let himself be distracted now that he had already come so far. He was a man with a mission. And, like heâd been taught, he swallowed down the tempting bitterness that cloyed in the back of his throat and marched forward with renewed determination.
Republic business waited for no man, especially if that man was a clone.
Kote weaved an uncertain path through the streets of Coruscant. Though he walked blindly, a strong warmth had settled deep within his chest that inspired an odd sense of confidence within him. A voice, somewhat reminiscent of his Prime, whispered in his ear. Kote was nearly convinced it was his Prime save for the manner in which the voice spoke. While it had Primeâs timbre and pitch, the cadence was completely off. The voice sounded too dull to be Primeâs, who was known for his sharp and caustic tongue. When the voice said, âyou are almost thereâ the sentence didnât cut. Its words wrapped around his spirit and sent a dizzying thrill across his body. It was then Kote realized he wasnât hearing those words. They had come from some place deep inside him.
Kote ground his teeth around a curse. A few days without his batch and he was already starting to go mad, hearing voicesâŠ
He slowed regardless of how the voice urged him further onwards. âA few more stepsâ. Kote spun in a mad circle, catching his breath as he surveyed the area. It didnât look like an area suitable for politics.
The massive crowds had thinned to a few stragglers who didnât hide their suspicions about him. They were dispersed amongst the buildings in sparse clusters and had a more noticeably rougher edge to them. The buildings, too, seemed less shiny than what he had seen previously. It was dark on the other side of their transparisteel, enough that he could see his reflection clearly if there wasnât a glowing neon tumor fixed somewhere above.
He didnât linger on his face. Vanity wasnât encouraged where heâd been raised.
His eyes were on all the othersâ reflections. Part of his covert operations training involved watching without being caught. This way, if he noticed an unfriendly face sneaking his way, he could strike first. The element of surprise was necessary since he hadnât any weapons on him. His armor was supposed to withstand a lot of fire and blows, but there was no practical data to back these claims. It hadnât been tested in actual combat. He didnât plan on acquiring that information first-hand.
Kote pulled the hood of his cloak lower over his head and marched at a slower pace than he had before.
He took great pains to ignore the voice heâd been hearing as it wasnât making any sense. Every attempt at silencing it made the voice louder. Every shove against it was met with an equal response that made him wince in the aftermath. Kote broke from his surveillance to wipe at his eyes with a tired fist as the latest battle with the voice was like trying to move a freighter-class ship using only his forehead. Because he wasnât looking where heâd step, Koteâs foot landed on a foreign object that almost made him lose his balance.
The voice cried out again. Kote was doubly sure it couldnât be his Prime since he doubted Prime would ever sound so melodic.
Luckily, loud as it had been, the voice didnât utter another note after its short song.
Kote sighed in relief. His pain began to ebb away since the voice wasnât taking up all the space in his mind. He blinked back into awareness soon enough. Kote stepped off of the foreign object once he had his bearings and peered down at it. Its cylindrical shape was familiar to him. He crouched for a better look, scooping the object up into his hand to study it from all angles. It was as he recognized the shape to be of a hilt that Kote identified the object in his hands.
      It was a lightsaber.
Like with most things, Kote never had the experience of seeing a lightsaber with his own eyes. He knew the basics of it. Battle strategies involving lightsabers were downloaded into his head, both for fighting with and against. The Kaminoans even taught him about those who could wield lightsabers.
The files on them werenât as robust as he would have liked, but there were a few important facts contained within.
Firstly, that they â or rather, one of their members â had commissioned the Kaminoans to build an army that led to Koteâs creation. Secondly, wherever there is a lightsaber, its wielder should not be far behind.
âExcuse me. I believe that what youâre holding there belongs to me.â
Kote knew that this new voice wasnât imaginary like the last. He had never heard it, nor an accent like it. The notion that he enjoyed how this new voice spoke, how he wouldnât mind hearing it speak more, crossed his mind and confused Kote greatly. It was the first time heâd ever found a voice to be pleasant and didnât know what to do with this information.
      âSir?â
He was drawing too much attention to himself by not responding. Kote had to act quickly. His grip on the lightsaber tightened as he rose to full height. The voice had come from behind him, so he spun on his heel with trained precision and faced the lightsaber wielder.
None of his years on Kamino prepared him for this.
âHello,â the wielder said, smiling at Kote as if he were another one of his brothers. Except Koteâs brothersâ smiles never inspired such strange and precise reactions within him. âIt looks like youâve found my lightsaber.â
      âHnn.â
Kote was trained for war in any terrain, but he was unable to handle the battlefield that used to be his body. His face warmed to a significant degree like heâd been in the midst of an intensive exercise. Koteâs chest stuttered as if it couldnât remember how to breathe, and his heart had lost the careful pattern of its beat and couldnât reclaim it. There was a desire to take this new man in his hands, like he had done with the lightsaber, and observe him every which way until Kote knew him as if it were his own. Already Kote catalogued the waviness his gingery hair and beard, the softness of blue gaze, the slim build hidden beneath flimsy armor, and, as he already mentioned, the manâs amazing smile.
Kote had been warned that those who wielded lightsabers were capable of other tricks that could confound their enemies. Was this one of them?
No. For some reason, Kote didnât believe it was. Though it meant his inner turmoil went unexplained.
He would have to leave it that way, as his silence went on for far too long. The other manâs smile started to dim. Kote hated that he was the cause of it.
âHere,â he said. His hand shot forward rigidly as he presented the lightsaber to its wielder. âTake it.â
      ââŠThank you.â
The lightsaber wielder reaches out hesitantly for his weapon, his stare unblinkingly turned onto Kote as he moved. Their fingers brushed during the exchange, and it required every ounce of willpower Kote had to not cling to the lightsaber because heâd been touched by someone who wasnât his brother. He thought to himself that he was acting like a fool. Kote was wearing gloves. Their skin hadnât made contact. Why would he think this simple act was that important? Why did he believe, had he not been wearing gloves, it would have been worse?
Koteâs empty hand hung in the air between them as the lightsaber wielder clipped his weapon onto his belt. Belatedly, Kote realized how useless his hand was just floating there. He dropped it back to his side.
âYou know, I canât begin to tell you the number of times Iâve dropped thisâŠâ
It was an unnecessary comment to make. For some reason, the lightsaber wielder thought to continue their conversation far past its logical conclusion.
Kote blinked at him as he struggled to respond. Improvisation wasnât his strongest suit. âYou should be more careful then,â he told the other man. âA weapon like that could easily wind up in some enemy combatantâs hands at some point, statistically speaking. And without your only means of offense and defense, youâd be dead.â
He observed how the lightsaber wielderâs eyes widened a fraction of an inch in a manner that sent ripples across his placid expression. Kote gathered that he might have been too blunt, critiquing how he managed his weapons despite never holding a lightsaber before today. Usually that had never bothered Kote back on Kamino. In this instance, Kote wished he could strike what he had said from the record. Or for the ground to open beneath his feet and swallow him whole. Whichever was the most plausible, and fastest.
âRight.â The lightsaber wielder was too kind as he still entertained Kote after his verbal gaffe. He arched his brow and stroked his beard. His smile had returned. âWell, maybe if Iâm lucky the only hands my lightsaber will end up in other than mind own is yours.â Those words caused the wielder to react in a certain manner as well, tripping over himself in apology. âOr rather,â he amended, âhands that are like yours.â
Kote relaxed. It seemed like the wielder was aware of his brothers, then, and what they had been made to do. Which made it easier for Kote to ask him, âIf you donât mind, I could use your help.â
âOf course.â He was glad to move past their bout of awkwardness much like Kote was. âWhat do you need?â
He allowed a tiny smile to crack his regimented expression. âIâve been trying to find my way to the Republicâs Main Building, and I believe I might be lost.â
The wielderâs gaze travelled from left to right as he leaned closer, conspiratorially. âYou are correct. We are far from where the Senate conducts their business.â
But why were his instincts ordering him here? That was a question for a different day. Kote stayed on task, âDo you happen to know how I can get there?â
      âI do.â
Kote listened intently as the lightsaber wielder provided detailed directions on how he could reach the Galactic Senate from where he was. He also offered up ancillary information like its hours of operation, whose office he could petition for an audience, lodgings near the Senate for him to stay in and â once Kote mentioned how he hadnât a single credit to his name â the location of his base that always had bunks at the ready for those in need.
The wielder had been explaining the distance between his base and the Senate, using a holographic map of Coruscant as an aid, when they were interrupted by an incoming transmission.
His map disappeared and was replaced with a tinier man in similar uniform as the wielder. He was noticeably sterner than his contemporary but, if Kote were to guess, he was the younger of the two.
âMaster,â the younger man said, âwhere are you? I believe Iâve tracked the assassin heading back towards Senator Amidalaâs apartment.â
âI was a little sidetracked reclaiming my lost lightsaber, Anakin,â he said. âIâll reconvene with you at the apartment. May the Force be with you.â
âAnd with you, Master.â The transmission had ended there.
Kote stared at the other man in concern as he weighed what the younger wielder had said in his mind. âYouâre in the midst of an operation,â he said, âyet youâre helping me out? Why?â
The lightsaber wielder chuckled and laid a supportive hand against his shoulder. They were separated by his cloak, pauldron, and the thick, black bodysuit he wore under his armor. Kote was keenly interested in how delicately the wielderâs fingers curled and the heat it inspired beneath his skin. âI couldnât very well have continued my duties without my lightsaber,â he told Kote, âItâs only right that I help you after youâve helped me.â
      âOhâŠâ
Kote catalogued his delight at hearing the wielder admit how helpful he was to him. It was what he had been made for. He was thrilled to have served well, even if it had been as small a task as weapon retrieval. Kote had to start somewhere. However, besides that, there was another emotion Kote couldnât name that existed along the boundaries of his earlier delight. It was similar to it though wholly different. The closest Kote came to understanding it was the fact that its happiness wasnât born out of an accomplished mission but rather because the lightsaber wielder had recognized his usefulness.
      He liked it a lot.
âIâm glad to have been of service.â Then, as the lightsaber wielder began to turn away from him, he hurriedly called out after him. âIâm⊠Kote.â
The lightsaber wielder glanced back at him, smiling. He waved as he continued striding off towards his next destination. âAnd I am Obi-Wan Kenobi!â he replied, âIt was a pleasure to meet you Cody! May the Force have our paths cross again.â
âItâs Kote, actuallyâŠâ Obi-Wan had fled by then, and his name was swallowed up by the silence.
Cody wasnât much different from the name he had chosen for himself. âCodyâŠâ It didnât sound sweet like Obi-Wan said it, but Kote thought it nice all the same. He wouldnât object to being called it, especially if it were Obi-Wan doing so.
      Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan.
The lightsaber wielder had taken too much of his time, and his focus. Kote had his mission, and much like Obi-Wanâs, it demanded his attention. He couldnât be distracted, now that he was so close.
      âYou shouldnât be here.â
Kote heard Primeâs voice again. Only it hadnât been soft and blunt like it was earlier, nor did it come from within. It had been spat out by the source and stabbed into Koteâs chest.
He staggered and slumped over sideways as his Prime loomed over him, decked menacingly in his full beskâar. âNo,â he gasped, âI⊠how did youâŠâ
      âYou are one bad clone.â
Koteâs last thought wasnât of Obi-Wan. It was of the boot crashing into his face and knocking him unconscious.
(Of course, as is always the case when it comes to the Skywalkers and Obi-Wan Kenobi, he's wrong, and totally helpless. He will love her whether he wants to or not, and it's just easier to give in and accept it.)
When the stormtroopers almost catch them in a lie on Mapuzo, when Obi-Wan -- despite all his protestations and warnings to her, is the one to slip up and call her Leia, not Luma -- when he tells her that he sometimes looks at her and sees her mother's face, it is no word of a lie. Especially not when he's seeing Anakin in that same desert, a hallucination or a dream or whatever it was, some twisted dark mirror of the man who used to be the other half of Obi-Wan's soul.
(And despite all the damage and char, the darkness and the damnation and the evil, he still is. He still is.)
(Leia Organa is Anakin Skywalker's daughter through and through, and so of course there was nothing Obi-Wan Kenobi could ever do but love her as if she was his own flesh and blood.)
This time -- this time, at so very long last -- it feels like hope.
"Hello there," Ben Kenobi says to Luke Skywalker, and so, at long last, the cycle begins again.
Years and years later, beyond time and space, beyond life and death, in the luminous eternal netherworld of the Force, where Obi-Wan has existed ever since he gave himself up to the red blaze of Vader's lightsaber, where he has stayed to guide Luke from the beyond, where he has waited and waited -- at last, at last, his patience is rewarded, and his suffering, and his sacrifice, when --
"Hello, Master," Anakin Skywalker says -- Anakin, not Vader. His voice is husky and strange and echoing, but his crooked smile is just the same as Obi-Wan remembers, and oh, it burns brighter than the heart of an exploding star. "It's been a long time."
(Obi-Wan says nothing, just then. Obi-Wan could not possibly.)
"Luke saved me, you know," Anakin says softly, as they stand just beyond the warm brightness of the Ewoks' camp with Yoda perched contentedly on the fence between them, and watch Luke and Leia and Han and Wedge and Chewbacca and Lando all celebrate the demise of the second Death Star, and the desperate, delicate certainty that now, after so many long years and so many broken dreams, the galaxy will be free. "He did what I couldn't. He wasn't like me after all."
"No," Obi-Wan says back, just as softly, and their ghostly voices are lost in the echo and burst and brightness of the fireworks that are going off across the galaxy tonight, celebrating the Emperor's death -- even if very few of them know who truly killed him, who rose at long last from the ashes of Vader, and flew. "He was."

When I played Fallen Order and saw Cal getting knighted by Cere I had to think about Anakin getting knighted by Obi-Wan so I since I canât draw I wrote this. I donât know if it fits into canon but I thought about this scene and needed to get it out of my system! So enjoy!
âAnakinâ, Obi-Wan greeted him as he entered his Masters room. Indeed it seemed like he was getting ready for a longer mission. âTo what do I owe the pleasure of your company?â He did not look at Anakin while speaking.Â
âWhy didnât you tell me about Christophsis?â, he asked. âWhy didnât you tell me that we are leaving tomorrow?âÂ
Now Obi-Wan turned towards him. âBecause we are not leaving tomorrow, I am.â He came a step closer and smiled at his padawan. Something seemed to amuse him. Anakin on the other hand was not amused at all. His mind was desperately searching for a reason why his Master would leave him behind, especially if the mission was supposed to take a few weeks. âMaster I donât understand. After our last mission you told me that I have improved a lot. You told me that I am already more skilled than you have been at my age. Why donât you want me on this mission.â Still Obi-Wan was smiling.
âOhh I want you on this mission. I just didnât think it was my choice to make since you are not going to be my apprentice any longer.â Anakin tried to hide the shock he was feeling right now. âWhat are you talking about? Why would I? Have I done something wrong? Are you not pleased with my progress, Master?â Obi-Wanâs smile got wider.
âNot at all. Anakin I told you that I have nothing left to teach you when we returned to Coruscant last week and I meant it. So I talked to the council and they agreed with my suggestion to raise you into knighthood. I was actually just about to tell you and ask you if you would join me on this mission as a fellow Jedi Knight.â
Anakin was speechless. Yes the thought that he might become a knight at a younger age than it was common had crossed his mind before. But his behaviour was still so impulsive that he hadnât taught Obi-Wan saw him as ready just yet. âMaster I -â, he started. Obi-Wan came closer and put one hand on Anakinâs shoulder. âYou donât have to say anything. You have earned this. You have worked hard for this and I am very proud of you.â
Anakinâs heart started to beat faster. Hearing these words affected him more than he had thought they would. âThank you Master.â
Obi-Wan took a step back and drew his lightsaber. âKneelâ, he ordered his padwana, who did so hiding a bright smile. His Master ignited his lightsaber and held it above Anakinâs right shoulder. âBy the right of the council.â Left shoulder. âBy the will of the force. Anakin Skywalker. Rise, Jedi Knight.â Anakin got up and looked upon the proudly smiling face of his former Master.
âI guess you wonât be needing this any longerâ, Obi-Wan said and pointed to Anakinâs padawan braid. The young jedi knight just smiled, not even fully hearing what Obi-Wan was saying.
Rose sits perched atop him and feels like a jockey on a racing fathier. Okay, maybe not quite like that, this is...this is different than that, clearly, but it still reminds her of it somehow. The intimacy, the oneness she feels as their two separate bodies move together...but for totally different reasons than with the fathiers, definitely different-Â stop thinking about fathiers, Rose. Itâs not her fault! Not really, she thinks. She just doesnât have much to compare with this. Sheâs never gotten this far with anybody else. There had been one sheâd been close with a few years ago, and then Finn had been a possibility but that had stopped faster than it started. Right after that kiss-Â stop thinking about other guys, Rose!Â
âJust close your eyes and keep moving,â she breathes out, rocking slowly in his lap. Oh, thatâs it. Oh...wow. This actually, this feels really good. It feels so-
âAre you talking to me?âÂ
The slightly perturbed voice coming from the man beneath her interrupts her newfound rhythm and her hips stutter. Oh, damn it.Â
âNo. Iâm talking to...to me.âÂ
Rose opens her eyes, looking down. He looks smaller than he did in that big, black coat, but that was so long ago. Heâs naked and pale except for that cute flush heating his chest and neck, going all the way up to his cheeks and she can hardly remember seeing him in that other uniform. Well, she can remember it, but she just doesnât like to. It was a long time ago and everything has changed - not that she ever thought itâd change this much .
Hux lifts an eyebrow at her. âDo you always do that?â His hand creeps up her stomach, his fingers teasing at the underside of one of her breasts. âGive yourself instructions while...this?â His gaze lowers from her eyes to follow the path of his hand as he cups her.Â
âNo.â She moans softly at his touch. âAt least I donât think I do.â She gives a single, halfhearted bounce in his lap, impatient. âJust keep going.âÂ
âYouâre the one that stopped,â Hux retorts.Â
Thereâs a note of playfulness buried deep in the prim, sarcasm laced tone sheâs learned to read well since theyâve started spending time together. Thereâs a softness in his eyes thatâs familiar now too.
âMaybe thatâs because I want you to know whoâs in charge.â Rose smirks at him, rolling her hips in a slow, teasing motion.Â
âOh. Is that so?â Hux sits up abruptly, putting them chest to chest. His arms wraps around her waist tightly and he pushes his hips up in a deep thrust that steals the breath from her chest. âAnd what do you think now?â
Rose hums, smiling as she rubs her nose against his. âThat Iâm good at being in charge. Now keep going.âÂ
