well to be honest

most of them are strongly just from me playing with their parents traits and not much else, but i think over time as i started figuring out their personalities and what kinda characters i wanted them to be it helped influence parts of their design a lot, especially their outfits.

like sky wearing monster themed outfits for example, or how i wanted galexia to be a little more of an oddball so i gave her more mismatch clothing and funny earrings when i make her outfits.

i don't know how much was because of outside inspiration, but i do remember making certain choices purely because it was the OPPOSITE of what other creators were doing.

like sunny has tom's nose, purely because i tended to notice other tomstar girls were never designed with it. (Let girls have big noses). Or lukas, because i remember at the time other artists talking about how tomkie fankids always tended to look conventually nice looking and i decided i wanted lukas to not come off that way at all and instead stand out

some of their outfits also tend to fit clothing styles i think are really cute, like i might see a cool outfit in another piece of media or just around in general and think "This would suit a character of mine".

so basically, i'm sure there's more outside inspiration then i'm probably remembering but I know i definitely had influences in their hair and outfit designs once i got an idea of what i wanted them to be personality wise.

she does not have a middlename rn, i haven't given one to most of my characters tbh unless i consider it relevant

and i don't really have a time for when star had her, she's the second youngest next to sunny so star would of been older then the routes where she had luna, lexi and sky

but i never really picked an age tbh, i've left the year kinda ambiguous when it comes to when the au takes place
