Whenever I’m feeling low energy, I return to these falls. Adrenaline instantly secretes and circulates as I recall the rite of passage memory this place holds. Naive kids with something to prove plus barrels obviously means we had to conquer these natural monuments whilst in the barrels. This led to a lot of pain, near death experiences, and dumb-luck triumph. I picked my battle for a reason; the falls second from the left were straightforward and after the initial drop I was home free. Shook up and on the verge of tears of fear and joy, but alive. Johnny’s experience was far worse. As the daredevil of the group, he felt obligated to conquer the first set.
