My opinions on several High and Low characters have definitely changed since I first watched The Worst X back when it came on Netflix last year (I will forever appreciate Yuta for being the motivation that made me give this series a try ❤️), but there’s still one thought that I had once I finished the movie that has stuck with me…
Why did these two NEVER MEET?? Like yes I get now that they were on different sides of the two three-school-alliances in the film, and they had no plot related reasons to ever be in the same room together, but c’mon man! You can’t tell me that these dudes wouldn’t stir up the most ridiculously convoluted chaos you’ve ever seen!
Binzo displays his craziness in his fighting style and demeanor, while Gandhi appears to be slightly more controlled in his aggression, which could make for an interesting dynamic. I say “slightly” with heavy air quotes because it’s obvious he has a hair-trigger temper when he starts arguing with Ebara, but I couldn’t help but notice that Gandhi tends to choose when he acts insane for the most part, such as when he’s trying to intimidate his troops to protect him from Yasushi and Jinkawa, and ofc lets out his maniacal cackle once he sets off the trap that puts a wall between him and them. Meanwhile, acting wild is simply Binzo’s second nature, although I’m 110% sure he would still reel it in when the situation calls for it.
I could talk about these two both as individuals and as a duo for hours but this post has gone on long enough so if you took the time to read it all, thanks! 😅😊
