Severe Clashes Between Druze and Bedouins Affiliated with Al-Julani

Local sources report a dangerous deterioration in the security situation in the Suwayda Governorate, following a series of violent incidents involving armed operatives from Bedouin tribes – allegedly acting under the direct orders of Abu Mohammad al-Julani, leader of the terrorist organization “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham.”

📍 The latest clashes erupted in the Al-Maqwas neighborhood in eastern Suwayda after armed Bedouin militias attacked the area. According to reports, this is part of a systematic effort to sow chaos, instill fear, and impose a new order on the Druze in southern Syria.

The militias have set up armed checkpoints on the main highway between Damascus and Suwayda – an area that has already earned the nickname “the road of kidnappings and death.” Civilians were detained at gunpoint, and the entire area was shut down.

🩸 One of the incidents that inflamed tensions occurred recently: a young Druze man was brutally attacked by an armed group while returning from Damascus, robbed, and left severely injured in an open area. In response, Suwayda residents captured several of the attackers – which led to further escalation on both sides.

Reliable sources claim that the cells involved in the attacks against Druze are part of a larger network engaged in smuggling, kidnapping, and drug trafficking – in coordination with ISIS cells in the southern Syrian desert.

⚠️ The unrest in Suwayda’s streets is at its peak: the public is enraged, spiritual leaders are attempting to halt the deterioration through negotiations over prisoner exchanges, but there are concerns that unless the attackers are forcefully stopped – the bloodshed will only intensify.
