We've noticed it too, nonny, and are already in the works of trying to break the few we've noticed up some so others can join in and participate too and will continue to look at the situation. We want everyone to included here and try our best to be all inclusive. That being said it’s unavoidable to an extent hence why we have certain things like societies and clubs/ sports built into the RP which we’re excited to fully be implemented in just a few short weeks! c: 

Update from the Main

So a lot has been happening behind the scenes as we draw closer to the end of summer.  And more it to come!!

 The first and only new update is that all Club and Sports meeting times are posted. GO check out them out to see who and when your clubs/sports meet. THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT AND WILL COME INTO PLAY WITH THE NEXT CHALLENGE. THIS CHALLENGE IS MANDETORY FOR YOUR ACTIVITY

Secondly we will reopen male apps Friday July 21st [ ANY AND ALL APPS RECIEVED BEFORE THIS DATE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED UNTIL THE FOLLOWING ACCEPTANCE DATE ]

1) The Course Catalog will be fully functional before the semester begins [ August 23rd ]. There will be a challenge associated with this so keep a look out for more information soon.

In light of some recent events, we as the admin team felt the need to address some concerns. There have been a few complaints about the recent July 4th / Decades Dance plot drop. We want this to be known before we get into the details, but this post isn't meant to single anyone out. This is never our intention when it comes to posts like this, honestly. This is just a message that needs to get out there and be known to the masses. 

 When it comes to an extreme plot drop like the recent one, we as admins, lead you and hold your hand to get the ball rolling. But there is a time when we must let go and let you ride on your own. Every character has an important role with this plot drop. It's not something to be "skipped" over. You miss an opportunity to grow and develop YOUR character. We only lead the way by providing those chances, it is UP TO YOU to take it and roll with it. But we cannot force anyone one person to particpate and understand choosing not to. We worked extremely hard to come up with events and plots that affect the WHOLE group than a select few. This was to change character dynamics and push them to a breaking point if you will. We are taking the biggest rule of improv which is "YES AND...?" and applying it here.

It was never our intention to box in characters, we can not repeat this enough. You have the freedom to have your character(s) react in the way YOU see fit. As for the issue people have with the MVP status given to our most active members during the Fair event; It was a way to randomize the affected. Macro picture versus a micro picture. We did it in such a way to create a stir and get the first instinct reaction from a lot of people. Perhaps, we should have asked for permission. But that would have ruined the effect everyone has come to tell us they loved about the event. We will in the future consider this more carefully moving forward. But as the old saying goes, it is better to ask for forgiveness than permission.

That being said, there's a lot that goes into planning things and make sure they take off without a hitch. More so than many seem to realize. We ask you to be a little more understanding with a few things: give us some time and realize the main gets updated / things get released as fast as we possibly can. We have lives outside this RP -- this is not our job, it's our hobby -- and sometimes things get in the way. This is the last time it will be addressed to the group.  Enough is enough.

Some House Cleaning Things

1) Please remember not to assume connections, without talking to the mun prior. It's only polite, and we avoid conflictions with canons that way. Everyone is rather open to things and willing to talk!!

2) Expect a link to the new OOC chat on Discord. Within the next few days or so. The Admin team is slowly but surely getting all that sent out. You’ll need an account--it takes like a minute top. Therese also an app for phones.

3) Bi-weekly tasks will be starting this coming week [ May 15th ] in which you will earn points for not only your alignment but also your societies.

4) These are the people who need to get us an updated app for the taken page. We want these in by the 25th. IF YOU ARE ON HIATUS PLEASE, PLEASE DONT WORRY ABOUT IT UNTIL YOU RETURN.

5)  IF you are semi-hiatus, you ARE expected to post within the 5-day time frame. If you regularly talk with the mods and we know you're busy [ yes we pay attention to the OOC chats as best we can ] you're okay to post within a 6-day or 7-day time frame. BUT COMMUNICATION IS KEY. A simple "I know I need to post but blah blah blah" is sufficient. 

Notice About Changes

Hey guys,  As you’ve no doubt seen by now things are changing around here. If you haven’t had a chance to check the main out, please do so, browse through the nave, look at the new pages!! We have a few pages of things that are still being changed and revamped over, so bear with us as no one wants to spend 10+ hours doing HTML after work, but we’re going as fast as we can. Promise.

After a long talk with a few people and Shiri and Jay, we’ve decided to finally bring in our own take on Greek Life. FINALLY! I know. It’s been a long time coming, and we’ve finally figure it out how to get it incorporated. Mostly.( snaps for everyone )

Here [ click anywhere here ] you will find a list of the SU Societies on campus. There you’ll find a description of the type of people, characteristics, theme song and charities/non-profits they support. Every student/staffer must  be a part of them—think of it kind of like Hogwarts and the Sorting hat—only you get a choice in the matter, and it’s Greek rather than dealing with magic and animals and all that good stuff.  But I digress. In short, they are Alpha Pi, Chi Omega, Delta Nu, Sigma Kappa and Tri Delta. All of them are co-ed. All of them require at least ONE instructor, but there’s wiggle room. Once we have everyone’s pick, we’ll be holding elections for the Society president, VP, and two social chairs. More on that when the time comes.

If we notice EVERYONE is going to one society over the others, we may put a cap on it, but I dont see that happening. Hopefully.

And don’t worry this won’t affect the roommate's list until AFTER classes resume in August. So, all summer you’re still in co-ed dorms, etc. This just gives me some time to play around with layouts and figure out how we want to do this. You’d be changing roommates anyway so don’t fret.

On top of this, every student is now required to be a part of a minimum of 2 activates/clubs/sports. This can be 2 sports or 2 clubs or 1 sport and 1 club. This ensures that we have plenty of ways for everyone to interact outside of classes and all that good stuff. These will come to play occasionally for plot drops and or events, or even tasks and challenges. Which is always what we want. If there’s not a sport/club listed and you want to add is message the main, we’ll add it. It is by no means a comprehensive list.

We’re going to ask every member send us the top IN CHARACTER portion of the app [ which you can find here ], please don’t fill the OOC stuff out. We know who you are by now :)  so we can make up the new taken page. Below I’ve filled it out for Emma and Carol so you can see how it’s done for both an instructor and graduate/student/TA/etc.

We’re going to ask all our active members [ those of you not on hiatus ] to send this to us by May 25th. For those of you on hiatus, please don’t worry about it at this time. If you feel compelled to do so feel free, but we’ll remind you upon your return to the group.

They are a/an [ INSTRUCTOR  ] and are [ ON THE SOCIETY BOARD ] of the [ ALPHA PI ] Society on Campus. Attending SU to better find themselves on the path of [ GOOD ]. While they can sometimes be [ ABRASIVE ] and [ DOUBTFUL ] it balances out because they are also [ CARING ] and [ RELENTLESS ]. They are considered a [ CANON ] character.
