susummers "You still put on the badge, You still condone it.". Folding his hands calmly across his lap. "You're a career gal. You're not just going to flush your career down so I have a proposal."

agent-mariahill She took a step back and followed his example. Hill breating slowly, sat down at her own desk. "You wouldn't understand why I still put it on. Plus, I don't have much of a career if I'm here to babysit." Tilting her head to the left, and crossing her legs, she looked at him. "Alright, try me."

susummers "Right next to Howard Stark." Scott pointed out. "You really think they brought you here to demote you.".Scott took in a breath, red gaze shifting to somewhere past Maria. "Say someone, an agent, had been collecting information over the years. Most recently, about a school, very expensive, very secretive, and the experiments they had been running, on their own students no less, on /Captain America./. What do you think would happen to the acting agent who presided over a leak like that.". Scott locked eyes with her, his tone flat. "Convince the higher ups that its in their best interest to keep ignoring us, I want access to all mutant related intel. We keep SHIELD's name out of any of our activities, I keep the pin in the grenade and you get to keep your job."

agent-mariahill "It was either to be demoted, or to fix their mess. I want nothing to do with this that's why I didn't want to come here, but that's not how it works apparently. When the agents decide to drop out, someone has to fill their place. She held the contact that Scoot presented her with. She could do this for days. "I'm sorry, Mr. Summers. I don't think that's how it works. You see I will still have a job with the military. However, if you care to explain to tell me why you want this intel so I know in case I have to cover my ass for helping you, then we have a deal."

susummers "Do you like SHIELD, Agent Hill? All the company line bullshit aside. Do you, believe in what you're doing and all that jazz?"

agent-mariahill "Partly, I agree with providing a place for our agents, and the ones born with special abilities and mutations to be save at all times. This also lets us learn from you. But, like I said, Summers, I didn't know about the testing. I didn't even know about the MGH drug until I was sent here. I am a low leveled agent. I am here to do my job, nothing else."

susummers "When good men do nothing, Agent Maria." Scott sighed. "I'm not here to lecture you. Mutants need someone to look out for us and its not going to be SHIELD. That's what I need the intel for."

agent-mariahill She sat there for a moment, before responing. "I didn't realize how bad it was for you all, and I personally apologize for it. I know SHIELD failed you all. So I'll give you the intel. I just have one request."

susummers "Request?"

agent-mariahill "Please just remember I'm on your side. That's all I ask."

susummers" Show me, and maybe I will."

agent-mariahill She unfolded her hands and headed over to the recent files on her desk, pulling out the mutant intel he wanted and placing it in front of him. "Feel free to come in here and collect what you need but the files need to stay in my hands." Hill looked at her. "Anyway else I can show you?"

susummers He relaxed somewhat, but made no move to take the files. "We need to be able to respond immediately when a situation arises. We need mainframe access." he stated, knowing it would be more exposure for her.

agent-mariahill She looked at him with a straight face. "I'll illegally give you access to SHIELD files, under some type of untraceable format. I can give you the files for now until then. You still are working here at the school, yes? Otherwise I I will trust your judgement.:

susummers Scott nodded. "Thank you, Maria. Really.". To the question Scott gave a shrug. "The team will be based here. As for me, officially I'm enrolled for some course or another. But God knows why at this point.". He rose from his seat, extending a hand. "I owe you one."

As soon as he left Emma’s office, Scott was running across campus to the labs. He felt the pressure of time with every minute that passed, aware that it was only making him more frantic. Which led to mistakes. Which led to more panic. He was living on a thin edge between exhilaration and mania, and by the time he reached the labs, by the way the techs were staring at him, he was edging more and more towards the latter.

 Crossing the lab benches, forcing himself keep to a brisk walk, he approached Stark’s bench. Furtherest and biggest in the lab. He slapped on the bench to declare himself. Scott didn’t waste time. There was none.

He holds up the newspaper for Stark to read. He doesn’t say hi, he doesn’t catch his breath, he just talks.

“MUTANT SUMMER CAMP TURNED HOSTAGE TAKEOVER. TWO DEAD”.

“Right now there are eleven children being hostage by a right wing paramilitary group in a high school in Alabama. They have already killed two. Two more will die tonight unless you help me.”. Scott paused to take a breath. Not so much to give Tony time to process the information, but because he needed to. “I need you to hack SHIELD’s satellites. SHIELD decided to stay out of it, leaving it to the Feds. But I know they’re watching the area. I need x-ray scans of the high school, live thermal imaging, and anything else is cherry on the cake. But I need those two.”. He allows himself another breath, this time a little for effect. “Two kids are dead already Tony. Please.”.
