If you were forced to make a live action “remake” of an animated movie. which one would you pick.
oooooo....an evil part of me wants the 1960s disney film the sword and the stone to be remade, so that I may suffer as so many have suffered (I never saw the disney renaissance stuff when I was a kid, so I didn't have personal connections to the travesties of beauty & the beast and such). show me the hideous cgi squirrels (the girl squirrel is still more pink but they make her chitter more scottish to make her a red squirrel #SOCIALCOMMENTARY). a lbxd mutual of mine declared that the incredible mr. limpet should be remade by the Coens, who I am neutral toward, but with Steve Buscemi & John Goodman(!), who I would die for - but the whole gimmick is that's only half animated, so it can't count. I'm being snide, which is unlike me, but this is difficult - I don't believe live action & animation are opposites or unconnected, but even films that don't have special Meaning in their animation / emotion that could be created through filming with the right sets, color, and care, I find hard to see as worth it or needing a fresh interpretation (unless the animated movie is itself an adaptation maybe?). what this has revealed to me is ive never seen a movie
