I am the founder and lead instructor at Parachute Play and Learning. I provide services in classrooms, schools, and to families in New York City and abroad, specializing in early education and professional intervention if needed. I am a licensed NY/NJ Special Education/ Elementary education teacher, and a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst with a Masters in Special Education.

Every playgroup session starts with our welcome circle, followed by stories, facilitated play, sensory games, music, dance and movement and a small snack. We always wrap up with a closing circle. Our activities include both fine and gross motor activities.  Parents should bring a change of clothes and, if appropriate, clean diapers. We have cool, filtered water available and will provide a small snack, both as a conversation tool and to keep our energy up. Snacks may include organic crackers, raisins, other dried fruits, and fresh fruits or vegetables. Please let us know if your child has any food allergies or dietary restrictions.

Looking for a structured, but nurturing learning environment before making the leap to pre-school? PPL is a small, innovative drop-off playgroup for young children that will give them the skills to make the transition with ease! Our class size is limited to no more than 6 children per session to offer a truly unique and focused learning environment that benefits the whole group. Led by two trained adults, each session creates positive social experiences by helping EACH CHILD engage with their peers through play and active participation. Our program is ideal for children with lots of energy who like to move around, and learn through discovery and exploration. Daily communication with parents is either written and/or given verbally, as preferred.
