Personally, i like to imagine freddy’s possessed by a boy and him being in the ladies room in the 1st game was only because it was the closest room to the security cam, but that’s just me haha.

With that in mind, perhaps he could be a Kanto/Johto Hypno. He was wild-caught, so he doesn’t have perfect stats, and he was active in Hoenn for the contests. I haven’t really nailed down where he and his Trainer were from, though.
