Soap batches are so much fun! Can you imagine heating coconut oil until it returns to a greasy liquid state, then adding a wood ash "extract" (lye) to the oil, then stirring vigorously for a long time until said oil begins to look like a pudding? And what?! If you leave it alone overnight it turns into a solid? I love that soap molecules break down and cling to dirt and oil! Soap is only a good cleaner when accompanied with water. Washing hands frequently is the best way to prevent illnesses, but the most important part hand washing is rinsing. Let the soap do it's job and carry the dirt and germs off in the rinsing. Wash with soap! Rinse it off! Stay healthy this fall. Give me a follow if you would like to join in the fun of watching my small business get on its' feet. ~ ~ ~ ~ #surprisinglyplainsoap #handmade #soapmaker #smallbusiness #soapmakers #vegan #crueltyfree #nosecretingredients #nopalmoil #crueltyfreebeauty #mylife #madscientist #chemistryisfun #transformationstory #smallbusinesslove #veganliving #crualtyfreesoap #vegansoaps #nolard (at Murray, Iowa) https://www.instagram.com/p/BojW-P6FGQz/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=s6zn77l1vdpp
