Had an awesome opportunity to hang out with some like minded (insane) corbina fly anglers from @ssffclub and got some instruction from the world famous fly fishing champion @steeliechick and company! Got some great tips, critiques on things I need to improve, and some validation on the things I'm doing right! We saw a lot of tails in the shallows despite the overcast conditions, but ultimately the corbina still feel I need a lot to learn before we can truly dance! Fun times! Stopped by @orvispasadena yesterday to pick up some of these killer corbina flies! It was first time stopping by this shop and I gotta say that I highly recommend swinging by if you are in the area! Seems like the corbina have finally arrived! Saw a ton today but just couldn't get them to take any flies... it was pretty exhilarating to walk up and down the beach and seeing them in the shallows... still learning this whole surf fly fishing thing but I can see why corbina are such a coveted species!
