I think it's pretty much canon that Ingo is the older twin. In the anime version Emmet calls Ingo as "Nobori niisan" ('niisan' = older brother) and in Pokemas (game) Ingo mentions that Emmet is his younger brother. If I recall right, in the B/W game and manga there wasn't any mentions about their age difference. 👀
But I like it when ppl turn their roles around and make Emmet the older brother sometimes! 🤍

• Ingo is very obsessed and unhealthy dependent on emmet, to the point emmet can almost no longer take care of his own health and Ingo is aware, but can’t stop
• emmet is very guilty since he knows he can help Ingo get better and not be a freak but chooses not to because he’s afraid of how he will act and what the possibilities of consequences are (veryyy miserable dude lmao)
• Ingo is obsessive in a way that people with BPD are lol he’s very crazy about his baby brother and says weird stuff and gives emmet uncomfortable pet names and uses them whenever he can
• Ingo thinks he’s being loving but is just weird AF jdjhdgesgg😭❤️ And emmet is afraid of telling him no because Ingo has more power being the older sibling

Ingo has such a twisted way of showing love, and poor Emmet just wants to help him but he doesn’t know what to do. 😭 Ahhh sorry, I’m just dumping some of my thoughts here so this might be a bit messy and jump all over the place pffsddas:
Maybe Emmet secretly feels good that he can be useful to Ingo, even though at the same time he knows this isn’t healthy behavior: “as long as I can make my brother feel good, all is fine.” And it’s sooo much easier to just please the other person and adapt than to face Ingo’s possible aggression. For example, I can imagine that if Emmet suggests going somewhere alone or wanting more freedom, in the extreme case Ingo might tie him up and/or lock him in a cage or a room. 🤭 Emmet would have to do everything he can to convince Ingo that he’s not trying to run away.
I think it would be really easy for Ingo to manipulate Emmet’s mind, because Emmet looks up to him and (as everyone knows) Ingo is really good at giving compliments and has a way with words. Emmet might already be insecure about being the little brother and therefore “lower” in status compared to his big brother. At the same time Emmet wants to believe he’s equal to his brother but deep down there’s this gnawing feeling that his role is just to follow him and do what he says. Mmmmmm such delicious internal conflict~ <3
In a way Ingo’s words are addictive and Emmet gets hooked on the validation Ingo gives him. Like you said Ingo thinks he’s being loving so he might not fully understand why Emmet is so unsure about the situation. That just makes Ingo try even harder, because he might interpret it as “I need to convince Emmet that this is right/Emmet just doesn't understand yet” So obviously the situation grows even more twisted~
Pardon me, side-tracking a little ->
This might go a bit off track but I also love the scenario where Ingo actively takes care of Emmet’s every need and isn't only just using Emmet for his own well-being~ Buuut ofc Ingo isn't normal about his lol. For example, if Emmet isn't eating properly one time, Ingo insists on feeding him himself. Or if Ingo suggests Emmet should take a bath but Emmet is just feeling lazy and doesn’t want to go yet, Ingo will carry him to the bathroom and wash him personally. 🤭 All this care is Ingo’s genuine love, even if it’s a liiiiitle bit exaggerated. At the same time this situation puts pressure on Emmet to act according to Ingo’s will and please him because “Ingo is already doing so much for me.” So Emmet adapts to the idea that Ingo’s word is law and that Ingo knows what’s best for him. Ofc it's easier to not resist and do what he wants instead~
Maybe I'll yap more about this some time, but I HC that they’re both pretty much equally stubborn, just in different ways (if that makes any sense lol). They’re both incredibly important to each other so if Ingo feels like “I must do this for Emmet’s sake,” he isn’t giving up. Likewise, if Emmet feels like he has to rebel for Ingo’s sake, he’ll do it.
But like I mentioned earlier, I believe Emmet gives in rather easily because Ingo is his biggest weakness and it gets super stressful to resist him all the time. In the end, Emmet just wants Ingo’s love… and Ingo just wants Emmet to let him love him. And in kdnb situation it would work the similar way: Emmet is doing his all to convince Ingo that "this is right/this is what I want" so ofc Ingo can't resist his needy little brother. 😭
I keep seeing the term going around in the submas fandom (mainly jp) called “G-A-S”???? I’m so confused I only started liking the two a few months back ;o; what does it mean!!!!

G= game
A= anime
S= special (manga)
(less common are H= Hisui and M= Master)
So for example when you see G▲ that means "game Ingo" and you can form ship names like this: A▲▽ If you want to know more details, Ko has talked about this a bit more on blsky!
I’d also like to know more about these different versions of them and how people interpret them. I think the easiest version for me to spot is the manga one because people often draw them looking very cat-like. xD And anime Ingo is often smiling while the game versions look more like their official concept art.

OHHH (please correct if I'm wrong but) do you mean by "emotionally incestuous" a situation where Ingo is (unhealthily) dependent on Emmet and extremely possessive of him? 💖 So Emmet ends up in a situation where he constantly has to fulfill Ingo’s emotional needs and adjust to him, rather than them having an equal relationship~ And this would make Emmet feel guilty for even daring to think about his own well-being. Hii! thank you for the ask! 🤍 I absolutely love omegaverse and trans!submas and I like to think of Emmet as a trans man. I don’t really have any deeper backstory for it, I just enjoy the idea. xD
Anyways! Another thought is that Emmet’s genitals just magically change and suddenly his body is built like a biological woman’s - or if we go the dubcon/body modification kink route, what if there’s a “magic pill” that alters Emmet’s appearance and Ingo gives it to him without Emmet knowing~ oh nooo~
And Emmet’s new appearance just feeds straight into Ingo’s breeding kink and he can barely keep his hands off Emmet. I think Ingo would become even more protective of Emmet, to the point where Emmet actually starts getting annoyed at Ingo’s fussing. xD Still: Ingo finds it fascinating how Emmet’s body has changed and keeps changing during the pregnancy; the belly growing, breasts getting bigger, lactation starting and Ingo discovers a new kink~ Emmet would of course also have mood swings and Ingo does everything he can to make Emmet comfortable.
