We love looking at historic photos of San Felipe de Neri Church! (Did you know that it was first called San Francisco Xavier? 😲 ) One of the highlight of our daytime historic Tours and a favorite of our Guests.
In the courtyard behind the Rectory there is an interesting semi-hidden treasure, a Monument commemorating the Dominguez-Escalante Expedition in 1776. The monument states there were 24 households in the Plaza around the Church at that time!
Once we're able to open, we have new, Friends & Family Private Tours - History or Ghost - Daytime and Evenings - PERFECT for homeschooling! (At Friends & Family prices!) Our Town is a living Museum. Culture, History, Science, Photography and more are covered in our fun & fact friendly adventures.
Tours will be held OUTSIDE in the fresh open air. We are contact-less. We do NOT touch our guests - Guests don't touch our Tour Guides. We disinfect our Ticket Booth before and after each Tour. We limit our Staff to only necessary workers to reduce contact. We have reduced the maximum Group size to have smaller group with more space. Ticketing can all be done online, in advance so there is NO contact. Guides wear gloves while ticketing and ringing up souvenir purchases. Guests can wear masks or face shields (if they so choose). We will remind Guests to observe the 6-foot distancing rule, as needed, and to keep their hands in their pockets thus touching NOTHING. We will have hand sanitizer to use before, during and after the tour. If Guests choose to sit down, we can spray the back of Their clothes and shoes with disinfectant afterwards if desired.
