There’s a new recreational game taking Fodlan by storm! Originally meant to help improve children’s aiming skills in a safe but realistic recreation of a battle, the game of Paint Bolts has found a surprisingly large following among others of all age groups. To play, you just need a bow and at least one opponent. Everyone is given two things: a quiver of arrows/bolts tipped with a plump, soft cloth that has been dipped in its own unique color, and a clean set of white clothes. Your goal is to navigate the playing field shooting as many others as possible with your colored arrows. Extra points are awarded for hitting areas that would be strikes to the vitals with real arrows, but the biggest priority is getting your color all over the other players while keeping your own clothes clean. The more colorful your opponent and cleaner you are, the better chance you have of winning. Just remember you have a limited set of arrows/bolts, so you better make each one count. No hits, even if your clothes are still stark white, is still a score of 0! [Grants Bow +1]

Despite the petite height and a little fragile structure, Sakura couldn’t help but enjoy the participation in one of the most attended event of the period – the game of Paint Bolts. She wasn’t really keen on those kind of games, but once in a while she actually took part in the games, especially the ones that involved weapon she wanted to learn to use to be effective on the real battlefield. As a matter of fact, the aforementioned game took place in a large field nearby the monastery, a surrounded place where some object were placed in order to hide and prepare ambushes: the rule were pretty neat and simply –hit the enemy, do not get hit by the enemy.
Sakura got everything pretty quick and – after she got the white uniform and the bow with a quiver of arrows – she immediately went to the field, not even bothering to get to know her allies and party members, since ‘They have the same colour as mine, that’s fair enough!’ she thought to herself as she approached a giant overturned pipe on the ground, pausing for a moment as she needed to study the situation behind that coverage: some students and staff members – she wasn’t sure of who was who, since everyone was wearing a white uniform like her – were running scattered around the area, some of them already hit others, but most of the participants were hiding in the several locations dispersed around the zone.
A quick breath and the petite priestess tightened the grip on her bow and swiftly reached another nearby structure, a small house without doors nor windows – just an empty box with a roof. As soon as she entered, she stuck her body on the wall, quickly spying from the open window to make sure no one was reaching out her same hidden place. She loosened the tension for a moment, just to realize a sudden creak sound caught her attention from behind –someone was approaching the main entrance of the small building!
Picking an arrow and drawing the bow, she put herself in a defensive position, as to make sure she could get the enemy on surprise, yet, as soon as the creaking sound keep on moving forward, a familiar colour popped from the entrance door, a quite desolate and lost look hovered on the face of the girl as she lowered her weapon as well. At least she was the same team as her, apparently.
“Glad we’re on the same side” she giggled, putting back arrow, but still feeling a little nervous, ‘cause you could never know when an enemy might pop out. “I’m Sakura and you?” she was sure the two of them meet before, maybe in the church? This actually didn’t matter that much and as soon as she got her name, she regained the previous position, now addressing the her new ally.
