#supper for two

Only about two miles down a nearby road where I was originally living. 

Anywho, let me get right down to the details. The new place I'm living in has a gas stove hookup, but we (my fiance and I) only have an electric stove. Putting in an electrical outlet compatible with our stove would cost $700. Might as well buy a new stove, right? Sure! But... we put a lot of money into this house already, and rent came knocking at the door only a few weeks after the deposit was paid. So we can't just toss out money for a brand new stove.

The Purple Smoothie

Ingredients

1 cup low-fat milk 1 pint blueberries 1/2 lb frozen, pitted cherries 1 peeled, frozen banana 1 leaf kale, stem removed 1 pasteurized egg

Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a blender. Pour into two 16 oz glasses. Serve immediately.

Note: By using a pasteurized egg, you do not have to worry about salmonella poisoning.

We've had a delay in recipes lately. I think this time of year is busy for everyone. But have no worries! More recipes will be posted soon.

We also wanted to let you know that there is now an About Us page, and the blog might go through a few more changes in the near future. Not many, but just a little tweaks to the functionality when searching for recipes.

Remember that you can always submit a recipe you have or find to the blog, as well as show us a picture of one of the recipes we've posted that you've made. =D We'd love to see!

There will be a lack in recipes posted for the next few days. I was going to build up a queue but I never found the time to do so. I'm making this post so you guys don't think the blog has gone inactive. I have another admin besides myself, but she's pretty busy as well, but if you see a few new recipes, they're most likely due to her posting. :)

Also, if you've made any one of these recipes, we'd like to see pictures of how it turned out and your comments on how well you liked or disliked it! We'd like to know if it was perfectly portioned or not. What could it use more of; what could it use less of? Etc

If you'd like to submit a recipe that serves two, go right ahead! Just make sure you've got a nice quality image to go with it.

Actually, I’m open to trying food from all sorts of cultures, but most Thai food I haven’t liked! :( Which makes me sad because all the food looks so tasty!

I’m just posting a mass variety of recipes as I find them! This blog would be pretty boring if I posted only what I liked. There’d be no vegan, barely any vegetarian, no raw recipes, no fish; but there would be a ton of Italian and Chinese recipes, as well as lots of recipes calling for garlic, haha.
