Really, Addy hadn't meant to bring David's attention to the burn at all. But it's not a particularly easy injury to hide, especially given her rather limited resources. She's admittedly embarrassed by the accident—she had broken into a shed to spend the day, not realizing there was a small, uncovered window near the top of the structure. It had been fine for the first half of the day, but the shifting angle of the sun caused Addy to wake up to her hand and arm burning. So while it still hurts quite a bit, she tries to act unbothered about the whole thing, shrugging as she pulls her jacket sleeve down.
"Yeah, exactly. I mean, it's a lot better now, and it's not the worst one I've gotten." Not realizing that in her offhanded response she admitted to it both having been worse earlier and the day, and that it's far from the first time something like this has happened.
