A Book I'm Sort Of Writing
Future Ben, yet again. Hey that rhymes! I'm quite proud of that. So if you want to read about a really complicated story that I want to write, read on. I have nothing more to say.

So guess what? It's late and I'm awake, yet again. Been a while really. A few weeks, maybe a month. Anyway. Time for another rant or long piece of text (that I swear no one ever does or ever will read (probably))
So I had this idea, possibly for a book or something, that I turned into a short script for my devised piece. I want to expand it. Here are my thoughts...
Okay, so there is this girl. Kim. Her name is Kim. She has been "Burdened" with the power to control fate. Only by accident though. She wasn't meant to be Burdened. Some angel messed up. He was given the job of, kind of, sort of, handing out this Burden to a new human every year. Of course there are some specifications for said human:
The human must be female; between the ages of 14 and 16; pure (or in angelic terms, a virgin); morally grounded and of course a believer in God.
This 16 year old girl I'm talking about, is only two of these things.
I will get to the reason as to why this angel must hand out the Burden every year later (maybe) but first I need to introduce the protagonist. (It was originally going to be the girl (and it is in the short script) but writing a whole book from that narrative would be really hard (and plus I like this guy))
Okay, so there is this guy. Rue. His name is Rue. He is fairly in love with the Burdened girl. I say fairly, I mean madly, borderline obsessively perhaps. The moment he saw her, he fell for her. That was about 6 years ago when they first started high school. They've been in pretty much every class together. Every day he sees her but she doesn't see him. He's invisible to her. As far as she's concerned, he doesn't exist. But he knows her, he knows that she isn't actually like how people say she is. He's not giving up on her. He just has to find a way to get her to notice him.
So the angel. Lex. His name is Lex. Was given this job of Burdening humans about 300 angel years ago (1 angel year = 7 human years (this is the last time I will use confusing time measurements (all future references to "years" will be human ones))) He got the job because his Father messed up and gave it to a pregnant girl. The kid then got the powers and got too strong. God had to get involved and everything. No ones really seen God around since then. He went off in a bit of a huff apparently. Anyway, the Council (which is a basic parliamentary system of 70 individually elected angels who govern all the other angels and make big decisions when stuff goes bad (so God doesn't have to get involved and subsequently get in a huff for getting involved)) exiled Lex's father to Earth. So Lex has burdened about 2000 people with minimal problems. It's a pretty dull job once you've done it 2000 times. It gave Lex time to think about why the specifications are put in place. He'd asked the Council before but they were a bit weird about the whole thing, he didn't really get a straight answer. So, one year, he decides to just choose a girl aged 16 at random. Chance. It hit Kim.
Like I said Kim isn't exactly the purest of 16 year old girls. She smokes, she drinks and she has sex with people at parties. That's Kim, that's what she does with her life. Or did, until she was Burdened.
Now, the Burdened are NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TOLD THAT THEY ARE BURDENED! The Council believe that if a human is told that they have power they'll abuse it. Use it only for personal gain. The only reason humans are anonymously given this power in the first place is so fate can still operate.
I should probably start talking about the War really, shouldn't I? Okay, so there was this big civil war between angels a long time ago. One side was dubbed the Winged and the other the Chained. The Winged believed that angels should be able to control fate. The Chained wanted fate to be locked away and for it not to play a part in the universe. The War was long, many angels were killed. Both sides started engaging in blasphemous strategies in an attempt to beat to opposition. So God got involved. He sent a lot of angels to hell. He exiled some to Earth. Those who did not blaspheme were spared and they formed the Council to start negotiations. They decided on Burdening humans, a new one every year and each one had meet the specifications. They only did this because fate needs a host. It was God for a time. But God grew tired of this Burden and thought he could trust it with his angels. This is kind of, sort of what started the War in the first place.
So we have the badass Burdened girl, the angel who burdened her by mistake and the kid who helplessly wants to help her...
There is SO much more than that. You have no idea. It starts to get really quite complicated when she feels the effects of the burden. Anyway, I've been staring at a screen for 2 hours now and my head brain is starting to hurt. I guess, if you want to know more about this story let me know and I'll write some more ideas on here at a later date. (Or considering I know everyone who follows me in life, if you want to know more, ask me about it and I will tell you, in life!)
