I know everyone (including me) really wants a devilsminion kiss, but I don’t think it’s gonna happen this season and I actually think that’s a good thing. To a casual watcher with no knowledge of the books, I think devilsminion is going to take some of them off guard at first (not in a bad way, just that it will be unexpected). I understand in the books Armand and Daniel clearly have a romantic relationship, but in the show they haven’t gotten to the point where that would make sense for them (yet). Before I even knew what devilsminion was, I had taken note of the tension between Daniel and Armand, especially during s2. The scene that planted the seed for me was, I believe, the first time Armand and Daniel were alone together. Daniel at his computer, still recording, and Armand sitting across from him with a look of admiration in his eyes. Such a soft loving look, it took me off guard. The tension between them was palpable. I wasn’t expecting it and I immediately asked “what was that?”. The scene moved on and I put it in the back of my mind, not sure what to make of it, but then the internet opened my eyes and that scene suddenly made so much more sense. I’m looking forward to how they will connect these dots for the viewers who haven’t realized what’s going on yet. That’s what I’m mostly hoping for this season, more overt recognition of their feelings for each other as they develop. To me, this definitely gives enemies to lovers. There’s a thin line between Love and Hate, of course.
