I mean, I am super excited about Tyler Hoechlin having another job and being on my TV in near future both in nice formfitting Superman outfits AND with adorable Clark Kent glasses, don’t get me wrong. BUT the thing I am MOST excited about is the inevitable fic where Stiles is an intrepid reporter whose enthusiasm for following up on weird murder stories ends up with him in life threatening danger slightly more often than your average reporter and his relationship with supremely awkward goober Derek Hale, a less-than-intrepid reporter who would probably never get a by-line without Stiles helping him out. Like for serious, he is never around when the real shit goes down, its like a curse with him. And okay, every once and a while Stiles will sort of see this strange resemblance between Derek and the hot, glowery alien who keeps saving his life in totally presumptuous and unnecessary ways.... except that Derek is literally having trouble figuring out the office toaster, so THAT’s a ridiculous thought.

(”Hey, so I’m going to go check out that abandoned warehouse at the center of all the disappearances tonight, want to come?” Stiles asks, trying to throw Derek a bone. Plus, maybe it wouldn’t be the worst thing for them to hang out a bit outside the bullpen.

“Er, is that really the best idea?” Derek asks. His tone is weirdly forced. Probably nervous or something, the big nerd. “Don’t you think it might be... dangerous?”

Stiles grins. “Yeah, exactly. I wanna get the scoop first. What, you’ve got other plans?”
